These guys are pussies then. Understand that people can support your cause and feel there are better ways to protest.

How sad that the overwhelming majority on this site have no idea what freedoms our men and women fight to protect. They fight to protect the freedom to kneel for the anthem, to peacefully protest, and the right to burn that flag if they so desire. That is what freedom means.
Drew Brees and others like myself also have the freedom to disagree with it. The problem here is Brees is getting attacked for his opinion and others are now piling on. I’ll let you figure out who’s wrong in this situation.

I support MT and Drew... I could see it from both sides... obviously on this issue I’m leaning toward MT... but Drew explained his reasoning good in my opinion...

Brees' comments were not specifically addressed by teammates immediately on Wednesday, though wide receiver Michael Thomas replied with a sickened emoji to a reporter's tweet that read, "How can anyone watch George Floyd get murdered and their first response when asked about it is ResPEcC tHe fLAg."

a blue check mark more concerned with making a "witty" tweet...That's not even what he was asked about. He was asked about the flag and responded about the flag.

If Drew can't understand the pain flowing thru his black teammates right now then fck him and everything he's ever done for the city. They need him? Right, he needs them just as much and he might want to listen instead of thinking his way is the only fcking way. He did this sht before and got away with it.

If you can't understand you black teammates, then why have any. You guys are right. They can leave since nobody can have an opinion different than you and Drew. If they have to respect his opinion, then you all and him should learn to respect them and what they stand for as people different from you.

Imagine being this stupid.

How any man with a brain can support MT right now is beyond me

All he said was “yuo is dumb” and then unfollowed him on twitter

3 stooges. Cant have a personal conversation rather than airing out on social media. Why were they not vocal and behind Kap when he needed them? Hypocrites.

I wasn’t referring to Brees or thoughtful posters. I was talking about the “Burrow is dead to me” crowd and the “Trade MT” idiots who can’t understand the concept of freedom of expression not being a one-way street.

The problem is that it’s not the disagreement that’s the problem. It’s MT using a perfectly fine statement by Drew as an excuse for social clout and is piling on the unnecessary hate for Drew without defending him at all.

I don’t give a shite about michael Thomas or Kamaras political opinions. As a fan that shite means nothing

But they are being absolutely shithead awful teammates to Brees. And as a fan, that pisses me off and hopefully it pisses off the majority of players on the team

For the 37th time, one can understand their pain and still think kneeling during the Anthem is disrespectful. The 2 aren't mutually exclusive.

For the 38th time, he can have his opinion about it being disrespectful. But when you tell these men when they can stand, sit, or kneel and where is complete bullshite. Drew can explain his arse away about what the anthem means to him and I feel what he is say, but let's not act like him and may other non-black players said "get these sons of bitches off the field" and they should lose their jobs. GTFOH. Kneeling was peaceful and nobody got shot with a rubber bullet behind it. Nobody unplugged the microphone while the national anthem was performed. Nobody ripped the flag or did anything to you or Drew. If he never explained why he was kneeling, nobody would give a flying fck.

People sit through the anthem all the time and several people never stand for a say the pledge in school. If it doesn't block you from singing and standing, then it's not disrespectful to anyone involved. Kneeling is one of the most respectful and peaceful fcking things you can do. You just don't like why he did it.

Emanuel Sanders, Kamara, and Thomas unfollow Drew on social media

That’s what teenage girls do when they get in spats.

The immaturity of it all is hilarious.

What’s sad is now Drew will have to go on Ellen and make some public comment clarifying what he meant, which in turn will probably piss even more people off. He can’t win in this one.

No. No he did not say that. Quit putting words into a mans mouth that he didn’t say just to make him look bad. We all know you support these riots and the ongoing destroying of America.

That’s basically what he is insinuating. They knelt during the anthem to raise awareness for police brutality. Which is still happening and he doesn’t support that because his grandfathers fought in WW2? What does that have to do with black men being killed for nothing in the same land their grandfather may have fought for also? He’s completely dodging the issue.

Does he have to actually say it for you to get it? This is not his first time. How you say sht matters as well. He is not taken out of context in any way.
