Drew Brees perplexed over Saints DB Marshon Lattimore punishment after getting ‘cheap-shot

On Sunday, New Orleans Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore was ejected for his role in the fight between the Saints and Buccaneers. Wednesday, former Saints legendary quarterback Drew Brees spoke out on the subject. He, like so many others, was a bit confused as to why Lattimore was ejected.
“It felt like our defense absolutely dominated them… Our defense has played about as well as you could against that team for eight quarters. That’s one of the best offenses in the league and for eight quarters they pretty much shut them out. If it wasn’t for Marshon Lattimore getting kicked out of the game, which I’m not sure why he got kicked out of the game, he was the one who got cheap-shotted, then I think the result of that game might have been a little bit different.”
Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and Lattimore have had a heated rivalry for years now. It finally boiled over on Sunday. After a play in the fourth quarter, Lattimore was having words with Leonard Fournette when Evans came flying out of nowhere and blasted the Saints DB to the ground. A fracas ensued with both teams coming together.
Both Evans and Lattimore were ejected following the scuffle. That proved to hurt the Saints more than the Buccaneers. Shortly afterward, Tom Brady found Breshad Perriman on a 28-yard touchdown pass.
Evans was subsequently suspended for their Week 3 game against the Packers. He appealed the suspension but it was upheld on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Saints look to turn the page and get back on track against the Panthers Sunday.

Marshon Lattimore’s lack of self control almost cost the Saints a game in week 1.

Brees just wore the same helmet everyone else did. It wasn’t his idea. Get over it, cuck.

Drew Brees deciding to put the name of that cretin on his helmet was the most shameful act in the 55+ year history of the organization. Worse than the story Pete Fountain used to tell of Tom Dempsey and the halftime ostrich.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but other teams did the same, including Pittsburgh. However, they had a player actually question it and decided not to any longer, after researching the incident.

Sir Winston I hope that history judges you by your whole body of work and not any one mistake that you have made. I would be doomed if I were defined by any one of many wrong decisions I have made in my life. I don't believe there is anyone living or dead that has not received some sort of grace or forgiveness for a mistake that they have made. Unless Brees was purposely trying to harm someone It would be disingenuous of me to not afford him the same grace that is extended to me and that is to not define him by this one mistake. This is just my opinion.

It's not one mistake as you say. True we have all made mistakes but this and read and process. Was it like the kneeling something he did on a whim? No it was a carefully thought out process after he made the statement about kneeling and his grandfather. His pr team came to him and said something along the lines of "hey drew, you're really upsetting the left and nbs is a left company. If you want that 10 million dollar contract when you retire, we are going to need you to start kneeling and shite, to show you're all in,we got this rapist nake we need you to wear on your helmet.
So you see not a spur of the moment, regrettable mistake but a chance to sell yourself and your morals for to him a little more pocket change

You people are pathetic at this point. You really are.
The entire team wore that stupid shite, yet somehow Brees is the only one people trash over it. Are you really that ignorant to not know the entire team wore the decals? It was not his idea to do it. It was actually Sean Payton's idea to do something like that and then other guys on the team decided to "honor" that POS. How about bring that up anytime Sean Payton is mentioned then? Or how about do your research on the players who actually suggested it? Oh that's right, it's cool to hate Brees now, because he didn't stand up to the team in his final season. Keep in mind nearly everyone was basically referring to him as racist at this point. Looking at you, Ryan Clark, as well as others on his own team. Every single player had that stupid decal. The team did him dirty and y'all are okay with that.
Anytime Brees is mention there will always be miserable people like yourself hating on the man. Because of one ridiculous year he made a bad decision in a no win situation. Forget all the good he ever did, because it's cool to hate on the man and have zero forgiveness or understanding for him. Forget all the good he gave to this city and organization. All the dedication he gave towards this team. Carrying himself as a professional here for nearly 15 years.
Either get over it or hate on the others then. Can't ever bring up the best player in Saints history without bitches complaining over one ridiculous year where he was in a no win situation. I'm glad y'all would have stood up to the team and the irrational hate in an irrational year. It's pathetic some of you continue to trash this man over it. Every single time he's brought up. Actual thug POS's don't even get this type of hatred.

The entire team didn't make comments in the media about not kneeling because of their values, the entire team didn't make 25 million a year.
Why is it y'all have to compare what people think of him to other people? Also I don't care for taysom as a quarterback and I imagine you guys assess are sore since y'all take EVERYTHING brees, Payton and taysom do
