Why hire a Super Bowl winning head coach that directed his team to 3 playoff appearances in 5 years when you can just promote Dennis Allen who's never sniffed the playoffs or even had anything close to a winning season? Heads need to roll for the Allen hire.

On so many levels. He is a Louisiana guy(even though it’s north Louisiana). Then he is a QB style coach. What makes anyone think DA could cultivate a top draft pick?

Was calling for this last year. I also think Frank Wreich(sp) would make since. Not his fault colts fell to shite.

What makes you think he would’ve picked the saints over coaching Lawrence in a nicer place to live?

Interviewed Pederson and Flores

both would have been far better choices than promoting from within.

We need a QB.

No coach is the correct hire without a good QB.*

The list of coaches better than Allen is long. Very long.

Reich. Pederson was basically an afterthought no one respected.

Definitely one of those situations where the media and message board poster tries to act so much smarter than the average fan and create a dumb narrative.

Let’s look where frank reich is and where Doug is right now.

Maybe, but why didn't you post this mid way through the 2nd quarter?

I wish they would hire Reich right now.

He’s a really good coach. Losing Luck ruined that organization. They are probably contending for SB’s with healthy Luck. Reich got fired cause the GM failed then fired Reich to save his own arse.

Went 11-5 and got a really good year out of 39 year old Rivers in his final season. Had Wentz looking like MVP in Philly. Performed a damn miracle with what he did with Wentz in 2021.

Also possible he saw the inevitable dumpster fire between the roster & cap situation and decided to go w Jax. Saints were still way over the cap with no QB, and Jax had a good young one, plenty of cap space, and an ideal draft position

We can play that game. It’s common knowledge Reich ran that Eagles offense. No one blames Reich for what happened in Indy. He actually did well with what he was given. He’s going to be a hot commodity.

Pederson was head coach of Eagles only SB win. Reich left. Pederson fired 3 years later. Reich is flat out a better coach.

It’s not like Lawrence or the team had some amazing season under Pederson. They had a lot of disappointing performances and were down 27-0 in a home playoff game. Pederson is ok, which is an upgrade from where Jags were.

Pederson is a better coach than reich. He was the head coach and main engine of the eagles offense. He won a Super Bowl with nick fricking foles. No one cares that you think reich was the main reason when it has been proven that Doug was the main reason

So how the frick did this brilliant head coach win Eagles only SB then get fired 3 years later? Anyone who would take Pederson over Reich doesn’t actually know what they are talking about.

Pederson wasn’t some hot coaching name. Jags just needed an adult to right the ship. No one talked about Pederson the way you hear people say Payton can basically pick the job he wants.

They went from the worst record in the league to 9-8 and winning a playoff game. What do you think is the max a team can turn around??? Because that’s about it.

Because Philly fired him for one bad year.

I was so excited when I saw we were interviewing Pederson and wanted that hire to be made. Sadly we decided a Zoom call was good enough and settled for Allen.
