Don't be surprised if eventually Saints show interest in Jameis Winston

Hope so. Dude is as talented as anyone if we could cut down the mistakes. Also still very young and just turned 26.

Not sure he will swallow his pride and take a backup roll, but we certainly should check in

He's an idiot, but he's really talented.

I would kick the tires.

Honestly don’t see how anyone would mind this long as it’s under the right circumstances. He’s only 26 and he has talent. Put him in a different situation and maybe Payton can get the best out of him.

Jameis should take a huge paycut and sign with someone like Seattle or Kansas City to sit and learn under a great QB.

Just like Teddy did - maybe take a financial hit for 2 seasons but he'd be back on top of the world if he showed he was serious about learning to be a great QB.

If he can’t get starter money then we should absolutely get him for backup.

Things that can interest Jameis:

A) we are familiar from division
B) sean payton is offensively smart
C) no shame in sitting behind Drew Brees
D) teddy b's success of playing backup role and re-entering the market as a hot commodity.
E) we have an "uncertain" qb situation that theoretically could be up for grabs after post Drew.

If he fix’s some of his mistakes he’d be one of the elite in the NFL. He just throws far too many INTs

I doubt he has much of a choice unless he just wants to retire

E is the big one. If you come in and sit behind Brees for 1 year, you are basically guaranteed a starting QB competition against a 31 year old QB who is not great at throwing the ball.

I wouldn't go that far.

There are other teams with a short term aging qb in place as well. Indy and Pittsburgh come to mind.

PIttsburgh for sure. He would be a good fir there. Indy still has Jacoby. I would think he would see that as more competition than Hill.
