Sources: The #Dolphins are trading WR DeVante Parker to the #Patriots in exchange for late-round draft pick compensation. Parker lands at a perfect place with stability he’s been wanting, while MIA gains financial flexibility
I don’t understand how the Saints didn’t jump in on this

Per Schefter:
Trade terms, per source:
Patriots get WR DeVante Parker and a 2022 5th-round pick.
Dolphins get a 2023 third-round pick.

You’d have had him and Thomas having a diva competition. They don’t like each other one bit. Still though, he’s a very talented and capable #2 WR he’s just not a #1 guy like they drafted him to be.

Incoming report soon that the Saints also made a play for him.

because this team is being run on cruise control and no one in charge GAF, thats why they wait until every available WR of note was already traded before deciding "maybe" they need a FA WR

You do know this draft is deep at WR and we can double down right?

Third rounder is steep for Parker. He stays hurt and only had one good year.

HARD pass.
he's a solid #2, not a #1. always injured
but 2/10mil left is CHEAP compared to the 20mil annually for #2 WRs

Its more like 2 years 12 mil.
The Pattriots basically got him for a 4th rounder.
Devante parker and a 5th rounder for a 3rd rounder.
I probably wouldve grabbed him for 6 mil a yr.

No that’s not how that works. A 3rd is a 3rd. Even if they threw in that day 3 pick it doesn’t change the 3rd from being a 3rd. Plus saints would have had to offer more bc both our 3rds are comp picks.

It's a 2023 3rd, which is essentially a 4th this year in value.
But they did that on purpose, either way its a 3rd
