Just going to say it....a lot of this fan base deserves what's coming in the next few years.
I look at it as karma. Lots of these players threw Brees under the bus when they haven’t done 1% of what he has done in the community. MT was a main one. All because he had an opinion that was different than their own. I have yet to see any apology from the team making a rapist a martyr.
But that’s the media today, they only hold water for one side and want to cancel out the other.
Whatever crap he gets is well deserved in my eyes.

Thomas fricked up originally and I'm kind of surprised that they didn't find him in breach of his contract
He didn't frick up originally, he did everything right....including first consulting team doctors and then seeking a second opinion. They didn't find him in breach bc, you know, he wasn't.

I know they are entirely different, but I was using that as an example of what the average person would deal with. Can't speak for you but I don't have 96 million laying around to pay someone to play football, the is why I used a lawn service as an example, closer to my bank account lol

Their doctors recommended he get surgery, he didn’t and then he went ghost mode for months when the saints thought he had the surgery and was rehabbing. Then it turns out when the season starts, yea he needed surgery. But everything he did was fine and cool?

because that's comparing apples to oranges.
No it's not it's money, I personally don't have 96 million laying around to pay someone, do you? If you do I wasn't targeting you with that comparison.

tough talk. financially you'd realize you can't get rid of him til next year at the soonest. getting rid of him now is literally just taking a gun and shooting yourself in the foot, because you actually lose MORE money now doing so.
You missed the ENTIRE point of that post. Y'all make remarks to everyone who has a problem with Thomas. That post said IF YOU HAD A LAWN CREW, I didn't mention anything about football in that part.

That part was a dick move and he should be blamed, which he was.
how is his toe the same issue? Because he tried to rehab (the team said to) and now that he's had a setback needs surgery (which he's getting).
He's injury prone. be mad he's injury prone now. the other stupid nonsense in every fricking thread gets old.

Idc if the injury is legit or not this dude is injury prone over paid diva and I’d rid myself of him asap if I were running things. He isn’t helping win games nor do I think he cares to

The team thought he had surgery? Is that published somewhere?
Not a good look, but he is not required to take the team's calls. I mean, they were trying to pressure him into going against his trusted doctor's advice. Would you take that call?

The only thing I could get out of that was, in a few years Thomas's contract expires and we get cap space.
The overall outlook for this team is a bit bleak for the next few seasons. Horrible cap situation and almost zero draft capital.

a little theatrical?
1st round draft pick next year (we'll call him trevor for kicks)
and 2nd round pick following year gone.

Bolded part is not accurate. The team knew he was trying to rehab to avoid surgery and was ok with it as long as his rehab was going well. It is also why they kept trying to reach out to get a status and was pissed when they found out the reason he was ghosting them was because he wasn't progressing fast enough.
With that said, it does appear he was destined to miss 2021 since the surgery didn't take anyway. Biggest difference is he would have been 100% to start 2022, until he messes up the toe.

I'm pretty sure that's false. The team wanted him to get surgery, he didn't, and that caused a rift, which only got worse when he reported to camp and still wasn't healed.

I don’t mess with salary cap science and math but it seems to me that the Saints ate very well over the past 15 years and now somebody has to pay the credit card. And the debt is going to take years to pay off.

Didn't watch the video.
Unless it's the big toe, other toes could have been back in a few weeks.
The big toe could have ended the season with surgery.
