Let me preface this by saying that I am a honorably discharged veteran but I also love the Saints and I love football. I understand these players have a cause that is important to them but also think taking the knee is doing nothing but obviously pissing people off more. Also think Trump could have chosen his words a little more carefully instead of stirring up this hornets nest.

How many Saints players were taking a knee and/or sitting prior to this past weekend? I don't remember any, but I could be wrong. How many teams in past weeks did not come out for the national anthem? Last week's display of solidarity by the NFL was ALL in response to DT's comments/tweets....nothing more, nothing less. Many teams have already stated they will be standing this week....of crs DT will claim 'he fixed it'. Comical! Hold it together POTUS and focus on the issues that impact my, and millions like me, dinner table - taxes, jobs, debt, health care, national defense, education, etc. Thx!

You are not a loyal patriot who respects the constitution and free speech. You are a Trumper who listens to bullshite and buys it and jumps head first to anything out of his filthy sewer.

I have a feeling this might be a 1 week thing for the Saints. They weren't kneeling before Trump called out the NFL. I'll wait and see if they kneel again.

It's weird that your entire post is a preface.

This is mind-numbingly stupid. The Constitution protects you from government action against you based upon your speech, not the reactions of other private citizens or your employer.

We all watch convicts, drug abusers, alcohol abusers, women beaters and some murderers play this game for a long time. I mean, what would stop you from watching now if you haven't already. So, was kneeling for the Anthem just your 'last straw' or is it what the players did after Trump's comments offended you too bc you're a Trump supporter? Like I said, if those things prior hasn't stopped you from watching the NFL yet, then it's a little hypocritical to me...

You don't feel guilty for watching the Saints, unless you lock a family member in a closet for the duration of the game.
