Did we even consider Kubiak as our coach when we hired Moore?

Not saying we made the wrong choice, I believe Kellen Moore is a good coach, I just can’t remember if we ever truly considered him while he was OC for us. He’s looking good turning the Raiders around but I see the same thing happening for the Saints even if our record doesn’t reflect it.

Because Loomis is so bad at his job and did not fire shithead Allen in the season, he was let go when Allen was fired by Benson.
Loomis and Allen were still planning ways to bounce back and go 6-11

I just came here to start this thread thinking similarly.
Recency bias, Kubiak is knocking it out the park right now. Moore doesn't seem like the incorrect hire necessarily, even though he still has his sketchy 1st halves every game. Time will tell in the end. But I never knew if Kubiak was a legitimate option to be promoted to Head Coach or not.

Actually I remember people calling for Kubiak to take over and fire allen during the season.

It’s so fitting that Kubiak may end up being a Coach of the Year candidate as a rookie HC, and we threw him away

Buffalo fired McDermott and hired his OC, Brady. Of course Buffalo was a playoff team with a good offense. But I can’t think of another similar hire off the top of my head.

Not really, i remember saying at the time he should get the job. What he did with that average group of players before all the injuries was impressive. We got the better qb, i think the raiders got the better head coach
