That's a rumor that he leaked it. I believe someone asked him about things and that was something that came up, and it wasn't a big deal because both he and the Saints were already aware of it.
Then those people tried to make it out like he was hiding it, he "leaked" it to start drama, etc. And THAT is exactly what he is saying about social media twisting things, and was absolutely taking a shot at Russini who claimed he didn't want to play and wasn't injured.

Because Ian didn't really say anything untrue there. He just reported the news. Russini then tried to run him down by claiming he was lying and doesn't want to play.

You don't think it's odd in which the way he's distanced himself from the club this off-season?
He may very well be hurt, but it does seem to me that he's not all that interested in being close to the team right now and he's not really having much to do with them.

The Super Bowl was in his team's city and many Saints players were front and center.

Best options would be in early June so a team can essentially get a "1 year prove it deal". I don't see Carr approving a mid-year trade (has no trade clause). If not then, next bet would be to make him an after season cut with a post-6/01 designation to avoid the $10M roster bonus (due 5th day of league year)

So, i haven't really heard derek say shite welcoming his qb, showing leadership for the path forward or doing any of jack fricking shite in ownership of his nfl team wanting to lead them into new terrorities. I'd love to know what you think russini is wrong about.
