I wasn't from there to begin. Never returned because it's a dangerous cesspool filled with crime. I don't even understand why people consider it a tourist destination. Nothing to see there but dalits roaming around.

The thought has crossed my mind that Gayle's succession plan back in Sept. has a lot to do with this. The team is going to be sold at some point in the future.

I hope it’s sooner rather than later. She’s turned her focus to being the face and just being seen. Her concern is where will Tom’s money be donated to and not being an aggressive owner. Dennis has been running the day to day for a while.

Did we really need a 94 minute press conference ? I could have have watched Rocky IV again in that time frame. I get it Sean, your leaving the organization but I don’t wanna here your whole life history. We get it, you love ms. benson and Mickey and the fans but you’re still leaving them in a bind. So whatever dude.
2. Just be honest. You’re going to coach Dallas after next season. Have the balls to say it. We all know the basic chess moves on the board so don’t try to play checkers with us son.
3. The age is catching up with you and so is your new wife. It happens to frank Thomas and Doug Flutie. You don’t feel like rebuilding an organization ? Try some nugenix and start getting those testosterone levels up ! It’s not your fault. Happy wife keeps your bank account happy too.

Walsh was Paul Brown's OC with the Bengals from 1969 to 1975. When teams would call Brown to ask for permission to interview Walsh for HC openings, Brown would warn them every time. He would tell them he's the greatest young offensive mind in the game yet he's a worrier & he would burn himself out very quickly. Walsh coached the 49ers 9 years & won 3 Super Bowls. He went down as the greatest offensive mind ever & burned out quickly. Paul Brown was spot on.
Walsh was a perfectionist, control freak who had possibly the greatest attention to detail of any NFL HC ever yet he suffered from anxiety. He worried about every little detail.
Look at Payton. He's very similar. He's a control freak who has a similar attention to detail that Walsh had. Go back to his interview today where he mentioned Loomis being his best friend yet he picks on Loomis about walking too slow. Payton is a very intense, high strung guy. So those types exert a ton of energy into everything they do. People forget that there isn't much of an offseason for NFL HC's. The scouting process for the draft begins next week with the Senior Bowl. Then it's the Combine, pro days, personal workouts of draftees at team facilities, coaches meeting in Florida, the draft itself, rookie camp, OTAs, training camp, preseason then the start of the season. Now just imagine doing that 15 out of the last 16 years straight being as high strung as Payton is.
Well then you will have some who will point to Belichick but Belichick is built different. He's a workaholic & extreme competitor too but he is nowhere near as high strung. I mean look at the man.
Belichick knows how to be chill & unwind. Payton engine runs hot 24/7 & his thermostat got stuck so he needed a break.

Well, the saints won their division 4 out of the last 5 years and won more games than any other team during that time period other than KC.
Moreover, Drew was injured and/or didn’t play a significant amount of time towards the end of his career.
I’d say that’s a pretty high ceiling.

Professional fulfillment. New challenges. Freshness. Avoiding ruts of doing the same thing over and over. Letting the course and organization run though you until they've used every ounce of you. Wanting to keep the joy and desire in doing what you do. Remaining hungry. Future career path. Internal mobility.
These are things everyone should take into account in their professional lives. I don't give a shite if he's coaching the Cowboys tomorrow afternoon; it doesn't matter to me one fricking bit.

Man looking back the saints ended on some horrible losses
2012 loss to SF on last possession (probably the best all around saints team- would’ve been nfc championship appearance against a team, NY giants they creamed a few weeks earlier)
2016 loss to Minnesota on last play (another nfc championship appearance against a Cinderella they could’ve beat)
2018 no call (should’ve put the saints in a super bowl )
Ended up with 1 super bowl should’ve had 2 shots and definitely 4 nfc championship game appearances. That’s tough to swallow

I agree , Payton lucked into Brees but never in 16 years drafted or brought in a top flight QB to develop. He is leaving because he has no real QB , He will sit out a year because of his contract and then be head coach at Dallas. He is screwing the Saints one more time.
