I didn’t want Shough, could have filled one of the massive holes all over with #40
So here’s the thing, they put together a draft board based on “their” needs, not what fans think their needs are. They also didn’t have penciled in on the board where the #40 was “get a QB”. So their idea of Shough’s value at 40 was higher than the value of other positions and players .
I know most fans think they’re better GMs, coaches or talent scouts but here’s another thing, those fans are sky screaming on the internet while others are getting paid to do that job.

Philly showed that you can have a mediocre QB who doesn't give the ball away and still win a championship with a strong D and running game.

Go get the best DE in the draft.
If he isn't there, get a WR.

I mean there’s a reason why we have won one game and recent picks like Fosky, Turner, Penning, Miller etc, could go on and on have not worked out. The guys getting paid to do their job are not good at it.

The Saints have something in Rattler. Give him another season (next season) to develop, as well as make some defensive moves.
I think this team is in good shape with the two young book-end tackles. We need a playmaker WR and defensive help on D-Line and LB. Sanker is going to be a great Safety (I think). We do need CB help!
This team has some good young piece in place to make a run in 2-3 years.
Rattler is your guy at QB, whether you like it or not. He's getting better every week.

I wish this guy had been on the team with Brees. They have similar builds. Rattler is more athletic, but Brees wasn't a slouch early in his career. Bring in an experienced backup who can show him how to be an NFL quarterback.

If CKM can upgrade our qb position using a trade, draft or free agent he will. It’s that simple. We just don’t know when or how. Has Ratt hit his ceiling or will he keep improving is going to be fun to watch.

I don’t see anyone out there I would want this year. Worst year to be in a prime draft position.

Medeur Manders available.

Right now, I’d say draft Bain and sign Bryce Young when he gets let go from Carolina.

Trevor Lawrence would love a stable org. and especially CKM.

Shough is probably a hall of fame future that Kellen is not ready to put the league on notice yet. He likely wants to build Rattler's trade value as high as possible.
Kellen is that devious huh?

Have you applied for a job at PFF yet?

Saints already dialed that number with Crab Legs Winston. Just doesn’t always work out with these guys.
Winston never had a real chance. That back injury really derailed his chance of long term success here. He’s probably better as a backup anyway.

I'm down with Trey Lance as he is still young enough to salvage
But the future QB is not currently on the roster. Solid backup with Rattler. Otherwise, you should always take a QB untill you hit. Even with high draft picks

Before the season I thought it was a no brainer. As the college season wanes, there isn’t a QB in the draft that I would blow a top 5 on.
Trade down and grab as many picks as possible, or find a can’t miss Edge guy, or continue to invest in the OL.

We need playmakers. I’d rather see us use the high picks on some of those guys.
Never forget Drew Brees made a lot of mediocre receivers look really good. That’s not a reasonable expectation.
Is this team not significantly better if Jamar Chase is lining up at wideout today opposite Shaheed?
