Could JT Barrett be the future?

You'll read*... He's talented and has a lot of upside, but can he stay healthy? Have to wait until preseason to see if the production transfers over.

I don’t think he has the arm or accuracy that he’ll need to be a future star. He could be a good qb for a few years though.

He is a long shot to even make the roster... I am going to say highly improbable.

I think Sean makes him the 3rd QB and let’s Savage walk. Mayock during the draft said Sean Payton has a huge package of plays to use Lamar Jackson like slash maybe he can use those plays with JT.

Highly doubtful... Unless Savage just shits the bed and Barrett has an incredible camp is the only scenario I see. Hill will be our 3rd QB ,and the only reason he will be there is because he can play on Special Teams.

Mayock also insisted that one of the better team players at LSU and guy who has been completely embraced by his new organization/fans had character issues. He’s kind of a blow hard.
I hope JT at least makes the practice squad.

I think he’s a career back up, but I’m not sure it’s for us. I think he could have a Troy Smith type of career then join the coaching ranks. Maybe that’s why SP likes him.
