Well if it indeed takes 2 or 3 more years for him to develop into atleast a consistent role player then yes, it would be time to move on. Especially if we miraculously don't trade away our upcoming draft picks and have more young guys to develop.
not looking to be negative but I have a summer class with the new recruits like Nazon, Javonte, etc. and Days walked in on crutches with his knee wrapped and in a brace earlier this week.

He's 21 years old. How much can you expect from the kid. Everyone is so impatient these days thanks to players like Jayson Tatum.
