Been playing around with mock drafts the last 2 weeks, and almost every single one has Cordale sliding into the 4th or even 5th round. If he's around, and I know our history with LSU players, it's got to be a no brainer right?

I think the Saints/LSU players thing was mainly based on local kids, having a bunch of hangers-on outside the locker room that could get their focus away from the team. Flott is not from Nola, so that's different. Same with Kwon. Flott has the speed and length to be a solid NFL corner, and would be a good late round pickup

He’s a better fit than stingley IMO, I also think he will have the better career

Jesus Christ man. I guess it's possible, but those chances are pretty damn horrible.

I’ll come eat crow in a few years if I’m wrong. I say he’s a better fit because he plays the slot and we have outside corner locked down.

There's a chance because Payton is no longer in the building.

I think Flott would be great on the Saints as a slot corner but you’d have to get him in the 4th round or later. We already have Lattimore, Adebo and Roby as the top 3 corners and CGJ plays a lot in the slot as well. So does PJ. We have other needs we have to take care of first before we make a luxury pick like that.

Totally agree, but if he's there in the 5th, you have to really consider it right?

I tend to agree tbh. Stingley is not on my board at all. I hated what I saw from him the last 2 seasons, especially last year. He was an absolute liability. LSU was basically playing 10 on 11 on defense. Dude wanted absolutely no part of any contact or physicality. It was absolutely embarrassing. Sting is a guy that might have a high ceiling, but he has high bust potential as well. He will go to some team like the Jets and either be a solid corner on a shitty team that achieves nothing or he will complete bust out of the league in 3-4 years.

He played in 3 games last year where he was battling nagging injuries. 7 in Covid year where the entire team quit, the past two years of LSU Football were some of the worst ever due to lack of leadership. Stingley is real deal

We should not be drafting a CB in this draft

I guess it’s possible if Stingley has a bunch more injuries and can’t fully recover.

Otherwise Sting is a far better talent/player.
And I like Flott.
