The Saints are back.

This draft was fantastic and will set a foundation for the next few years.

Saints are dangerous again.

NFC….watchout.

Bravo to whoever ran this draft.

Crazy to see how much fan sentiment can change in less than 12 months.

.

A competent QB will do that. 2 great drafts in a row, but if Shough didn’t look good, the future would still be a lot more questionable. If we had this same draft with Rattler set to be the starter next year after a 3-14 season, the sentiment would not be much improved.

If Shough hadn’t looked good last year we probably would’ve had to draft someone like Ty Simpson or Carson Beck… yeesh

And/or be talking about tanking another season because “next year” will be a great QB class. It feels so much better coming out of the draft talking about possible playoffs instead of next year’s draft class already.

Carr was an abomination and an anchor around the neck of the franchise.

We’re free now. Good times ahead.

I’d Shough hadn’t looked good, high probability this team would have been in position to take Mendoza

Not to be Debbie downer, but we have no idea how this draft has gone. I have high hopes, but this still has to play out.

May have been Mendoza at 1 with how bad we would have been.

We have a qb on a rookie contract and old money is expiring. If our qb holds up we can add the pieces to complement him over the next few years.

In that scenario I'd rather taylen green or Nuss. A physical specimen or the best outright throwing QB, undervalued because of a derailed season from an alcoholic coach and nonexistent medical staff.

Carr retiring AND giving bonus money back is the reason we are in such a better position.

If he hadn't retired, Shough likely is still an unknown too, and may still be backing up Carr

Just stop.

Nuss blows.

The medical stuff was put out by his agent as an excuse for his dogshit play. Dude sucks and the rest of the NFL recognizes it.

You are pretty blind or just an idiot if you can’t see the difference in his throws from 2024 to 2025.

That is some high arse cope. Even Kelly admitted he had medical issues during the season. Are you saying he literally had no medical issues? Or are you just butt hurt Kelly ruined LSU's season and also have the analytical capacity of a third grader so as to pretend Nuss's 2024 game film doesn't exist?

Stop it. Dudes been a scrub. He thought he’d be out Jayden Daniel’s, didn’t. Then proceeded to play sub par. If you weren’t blind you could see that. If anybody felt he was good he would’ve went higher than round 7 which he didn’t. He should have went undrafted

Crazy what happens when you stop selling Derek Carr, Dennis Allen, and the player away mentality

Also crazy what happens when you build a team organically. I dont know what our record is gonna be but the Saints are gonna be fun to watch again. We got some burners and dawgs.
