Confirmed: Saints would have taken Mahomes if Lattimore was off the board

If the Chiefs didn't move ahead of us for Mahomes and Lattimore was off the board, Mahomes would have been the pick.
Saints also had a very high grade on Josh Dobbs. "We really liked the kid from Tennessee and had a great visit with him."
Probably means they would have taken Mahomes at 11 regardless of who was there

He told Payton 2-3 after this one iirc. Payton said this at the league meetings.

It appears Payton needs to be saved from himself. Mahomes is not worth a top 15 pick. Probably not even first round.
