Carr officially released by the Raiders

Not how that worked. He get nothing by getting released. Raiders have to recognize the deferred portion of his signing bonus, and the avoid the next $40.4M of his contract (2023 salary plus some of 2024) being guaranteed.

I hope the Saints sign him in 30 minutes and he comes out and says frick the Raiders, I didn't want my boy DA to have to give up a pick that he could use on a Guard or a Receiver for me.

I read they still owed him $40M anyway.
