Carr officially has an AC joint sprain

Avoided major injury but this will still keep him sidelined for at least a month as I figure you see the Saints put him on IR and sign another QB until he’s able to play. I expect he misses about 6-8 weeks just based on previous QB with that injury to their throwing shoulder.

I agree. DA doesn’t though and will send crab legs out to throw lots and lots of INTs.

From what I can see, this seems like an overly pessimistic timeline.
If he misses 6-8 weeks the season is completely over

Is it grade 1 or grade 3? That’s a difference between 2 weeks and 6 weeks recovery.

It’s all about what degree the sprain is and Carr’s pain tolerance.

I think you will see him miss a 2 to 3 weeks.
They made it sound like it wasn't as bad. So I don't Carr will be out for 6 weeks
3 weeks is about the longest you are going to want to be without him
What are the next 3 games?

The one thing about Carr is he is pretty famous for his injury recovery time being abnormally quick and his pain tolerance.

I think Winston will play as well as Carr has been playing (which isn't very good).
The hope for Carr is that he'd improve over the 2nd half of the year after being in the offense for a while.
We've got several concerns now.
1. Carmichael
2. Offensive Line
3. Even if those become functional, I'm concerned that Winston can play .500 ball for us over the next month plus.
4. Even if that happens, I'm concerned Carr may miss that upward improvement that comes with being in a system for long enough.
It is what it is.

He could easily play next week, depending on the severity. Now, I doubt he does, but I don't see this being 6-8 weeks.

Houston looked great yesterday. I was impressed by their defense.

I think Winston will play as well as Carr has been playing, "IF" the o-line actually starts earning their paychecks. Winston behind the same level of play will be a major recipe for disaster. Thankfully, the opponents are not world beaters; unfortunately, one of them is a division opponent.

This is probably going to be one of those injuries that lingers all year.

Neither of you know the grade of the sprain so spouting off a timetable is just bullshite.
Drew played through an AC sprain in 2018

It’s like you haven’t watched the Saints since Brees left.

When did our fanbase turn into a bunch of vaginas? I love watching the Saints even when they aren’t Super Bowl contenders. We have an elite defense and a potentially explosive offense. Carr wasn’t exactly putting up numbers that you are going to need to cry over when he’s out. We’re basically still the same team, except Kamara is back.
