Draft Hendon Hooker?

Lord no.

We have to start taking our medicine and beginning our roster to permit the rebuild in 2025.

How does taking Hooker in the 3rd round contradict that rebuild? Its the exact type of pick you hope to hit on to facilitate a rebuild. I am not saying I agree with you about the process in whole, but if its a total gut you are after, you draft Hooker (or any QB in the 3rd round) hand over the reins to him, cut Dalton and Winston, make Hill the backup, and you have a bargain basement QB room for the next 4 years.

None of these are QBs that you can win with when you give them massive deals.

Here are winning QBs from the last 10 SBs. On that list Derek Carr’s ability is closer to Nick Foles than any of the other players yet Foles had a base salary of $4,000,000. The Seahawks won when Russell Wilson was making $600,000

Russell Wilson
Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Nick Foles
Patrick Mahomes
Matt Stafford

Sounds like the Saints with Derek Carr. And that's a big "if" you got there.

Wrong. The Titans are in a 2-year "blow it up" scenario as just one team doing it in real time.

How do you figure? They're not trying to win?

Well if it is structured right, and we draft well, we will be contenders in the NFC.

Did they not just deal AJ Brown?

Are they not trying to deal Derrick Henry?

Are they not rumored to cut Tannehill?

Cluck, cluck. Dummies been claiming the sky was gonna fall for so many years now I can't believe it. Even if true, it doesn't take 2-3 seasons to clear some voidable years. It is so, so stupid to even think about tanking when your team has a real shot at the playoffs. Please go root for another team.

He didn’t have to say anything. If you read enough of his posts, you can clearly see that he knows everything about everything. Dude is an encyclopedia. A sports almanac, if you will.

Dude knew what KC’s cap situation was back before they had mahomes without even having to to look it up. Could probably also tell you who took the third handoff of the Super Bowl in 2003, because he watched it in a lobby of a hotel while at a conference of lawyers in New York

Underhill just has a really good article explaining how Carr and Stafford were eerily similar. Also, Peyton was benched the year he won the SB and was worse than 2020 Brees.

Yes, great QBs win championships but you can win a title without one. Hell, Flacco won one as well

That's $8mm more for Carr. That buys you a very good interior Offensive or defensive lineman.

Or a third receiver and a backup running back. Car has stupid money, why not take a little bit of a discount so that you can actually win games ( Which assumes you actually want to win games, his track record says otherwise)

people need to stop looking at players as if they are used cars sitting on a lot somewhere. its a market where value is relative and the asset is ultra rare. Once the QB market shakes out this year, Carr will be slotted right about where he belongs. The issue is how the Saints manage their way out of the cap implications.
