Lol. Yes, cause teams give up “their” guy to go ahead and draft a player they don’t like as much. On top of that they have to give up a good portion of picks to even move up to 2 from that spot. More than what you even listed. It’s not surprising a long line a person from a long line of inbred losers can’t comprehend this. It makes no sense. Now if you say the bengals don’t like burrow then maybe. The odds of them moving that pick all the way down to Carolina is comical and o LT to trade back up to 2. Is this what the 5 brain cells you have in your head come up with? The amount of nonsense posted on this by losers like you calling for the saints and every known team to give up their entire franchise for a qb because he went to LSU is comical. Enjoy your day. Remember, leave your sisters alone.

No, this is not at all what they did. They had a qb on their roster at the time who was considered one of the best qbs in the league. The situations arent comparable.

And it baffles me how dumb a person can actually be. Have you checked the past draft trades over let’s say the last couple years? The eaglea, who traded up for wentz had to give up their first rounder at the time, 3rd rounder that year, 4th rounder that year, first rounder the year after, 2nd rounder 2 years after. Yet, somehow in your inbred world you think they can just magically trade up for far less than that? Lol. Your posts must really make everyone feel good about themselves.

Right. But like I said teams build differently
The Bengals could then trade up to 3 and draft the, who is just as good as burrow minus the health, and still have extra ammo.
How do you know the Bengals aren't putting out that they like burrow to then trade and grab tua?

Man, anything is possible in the nfl. I don’t rule out anything. But, if we aren’t living in fantasy land (i think tua is a phenomenal prospect) burrow is the best prospect. Now if the bengals don’t like him then sure they can trade it away. But if they like Tua and want to draft him what stops them from taking him at 1? Trading back risks losing him as well. Miami has more ammo than anyone in this draft. My point is if they think Burrow is a franchise qb (how do they not) do you honestly think they will trade the pick? If anyone has half a brain that would say no. No matter what the offer is. Teams would kill to lock up a franchise qb for 15 years. I think there’s about a 3% change they trade and even less than that outside of the top 5.

I don’t think i said Cinci is dumb. I don’t think they’re the terrible organization people make them out to be. They’ve been a pretty consistent playoff team over the last decade or so. I think they suck and i would not want to play there. All i said is why do people think Cinci is dumb yet Carolina is so smart? Carolina hasn’t been some winner lately. Their roster is horrible and now they’re all back in on Cam Newton.

I’m assuming you haven’t seen the Bengals play. They need an entire team. Not just a QB. Also if Joe tells them in the interviews that he doesn’t want to be there then Tepper comes and offers some Kings ransom you have to take it.

Tepper is crazy enough to trade everything and the bengals could package a few of the picks to move back into the top 5 for Tua or Hebert.

What makes you think the Bengals are smart enough to pull this off?

It's not that hard.
Everyone wants the number 1 pick
It's easy to do, it's just no one ever has the balls to do it.

They want the sure thing and are scared if they trade back, they would miss out.

Marvin Lewis had a lot to do with that. The Bengals were a respectable franchise when Paul Brown was the owner with two Super Bowl appearances in the 80s. Mike Brown has been widely known as the most incompetent owner in the league since he took over ownership. I believe they're the only team in the league without an indoor practice facility and their weight room is at the stadium. They have the smallest scouting department among the 32 teams and rarely make in season acquisitions through free agency or trades to address lack of depth due to guys that have been injured, something every team does.

I don’t think Bengals trade back and get Tua or Justin Herbert unless they really like one of those guys. My thought process is that they could potentially trade this pick for a huge haul and provide a solid core for their team. Burrow is going to take more compensation than past drafts and will probably be the most highly coveted pick since Luck. Once they build their core, they can then work in finding another qb they like through future free agency or draft. They could even keep Dalton around if they wanted to until they find a better solution. They are far away from competing whether they have Burrow or not and there is no guarantee that Burrow signs an extension and stays long enough to reap the rewards especially if they get him beat to hell. Their offensive line graded out as the 30th tank unit last year and their defense was also bottom of the barrel. Oh and they probably going to lose AJ green to free agency. I don’t think trading the pick is a dumb move by any means.

Intangibles. All great QBs have them. Burrow has them. He would instantly make Carolina a contender

Cam or Kyle Allen plus extra picks allows them to fill multiple holes? Cincy needs A LOT MORE than just a QB.

Think what they could get for that pick. Think Dallas and the Herschel Walker trade. Dallas built a whole new team with that trade.

Taking Burrow #1 is a NO LOSE situation for the Bengals since every draft 'expert' & former NFL GMs agree that JB is the best NFL ready QB & the Bengals desperately need a franchise QB. If Burrow is a bust (highly doubtful) then EVERYONE that gets paid to evaluate NFL Draft picks will also have gotten it wrong!

If you think that doesnt matter to a NFL GM or Player Personnel guy then youre just being naive or dont jnow much about the NFL. You also have to take into account the Bengals just plain terrible history of wasting 1st Rd picks on player that never panned out. Especially 1st Round QB's like '92-David Klingler & '99-Akili Smith. Carson Palmer was a legit 1st Rd QB pick in 2003 but hes an anomaly for the Bengals.

I wonder what the economic impact on the Saints will be if Burrow would go to the Panthers?

If Burrow were successful in Carolina, would the fan base of the Saints be impacted?

Would a dominating Burrow lead Panthers team keep the Saints out of the playoffs for quite a few years?

Whatever an impact study projects, I sure hope Cincinnati drafts Burrow.

I am not interested in getting answers first hand if the Panthers manage to pull the string.

Yeah that would suck because I would definitely have to pull against him. Saints come first after a player leaves LSU.
