Not sure why people think Cincinnati would trade the pick. They don’t have a qb. There’s a prospect that just shattered every major college football record coming out in the draft and they’re gonna pass on him? To trade down to a slot where they won’t be able to draft a qb? All to collect more picks? Not sure why people think Cincinnati is so dumb yet Carolina is somehow a smart org.

Hoping the Bengals are not that dumb, but this is the Bengals. An old sitcom used to have a punchline in every episode, “What a revoltin’ development this is”.

I’m assuming you haven’t seen the Bengals play. They need an entire team. Not just a QB. Also if Joe tells them in the interviews that he doesn’t want to be there then Tepper comes and offers some Kings ransom you have to take it.

Tepper is crazy enough to trade everything and the bengals could package a few of the picks to move back into the top 5 for Tua or Hebert.

I hope it doesn’t happen but if it does the Panthers seem like the most obvious team to make it happen

What history? People bash them and they have a terrible owner but have had just as much success as Carolina has. More than Tampa. Cincinnati isn’t the joke people are making them out to be. They just gave a cheap terrible owner. You’re literally making things up.

Oh i get it now. They’re gonna pass on the best prospect to trade back for a plethora of picks only to package most of those picks to move back up and draft another qb. I see now.

That would be the dolphins and their 5 first rounders over the next 2 drafts (and 3 seconds).

I agree. Now, i believe there is less than 10% chance they trade that pick but if they do Miami will be the team. They have more ammo than any other team and they would only have to move back to 5. With that being said that is still a very large risk. At that point you’re hoping nobody trades up ahead of you to grab tua. Id that happens then you’re stuck with the walking bust that is Herbert.

If Cincinnati is trading out of the #1 spot it's going to have to be from a team much further down from the #2 spot to intice them to take the bait IMHO.

That’s why i don’t get all of this trading down. They have the opportunity to take their franchise qb now. Why wait? Qb is the hardest position to draft. I don’t care how many holes they have on that team. Without a qb you have nothing.

I don’t think it is crazy for Cincy to trade the pick. I like Burrow but we value him very high since a lot of us are from Louisiana and like LSU. I think he can very well be a future hall of fame qb. However, I don’t think he is immune to being a bust either and I think a lot of people don’t see that. Qb is difficult to transition from college to pros. He had a great offensive scheme at LSU with at least two maybe 3 future first round picks at Wide receiver, solid offensive line, and good rb and tight end. If Cincy is offered and RG3 style trade then they have to take it. They don’t have enough pieces for Burrow to have great success. You can also ruin a young qb if you can’t protect them. Think David Carr and Andrew Luck (Had success but got mauled for 5 years and retired at 30).

The amount of picks they'll have to give up, can't wait for them to do it

In addition, there is some rumors that Joe doesn’t want to go to Cincy. I realize he is from there but could be true. The team you are drafted by could be the reason you fail or succeed in the nfl. Some qbs thrive in some systems but fail in others. I really think the Browns drafted Mayfield bc Darnold didn’t want to go there. It plays a part bc you don’t want someone who doesn’t want to be there.
