re: Can someone explain what exactly the Saints front office did that was criminal?

Well, the Archdiocese absolutely did some things that were criminal, and if the Saints helped cover that up... that's the old "aiding a crime" thing...
But that's a tall order.
The reality is, illegal or not, this is a massive PR embarrassment for the team and for the league. What they did is not ok...illegal or just unethical.

It doesn’t have to be criminal for it to be gross as hell for a professional football organization to be involved in.
If it’s not criminal then I don’t care what the Saints did , and no one else should care.
“Gross as hell” is quite relative and it’s not necessarily everyone’s business if there’s not actually any wrongdoing on the Saints part.
Have you ever been to strip club? If you have, there’s nothing illegal about it, but some might think it’s”gross”.
So why would a third party like me broadcast it for the whole world to know? Probably no reason other than me trying to kick dirt on you and to defame you. It would be a very disingenuous thing for me to do in an attempt to make people think you’re some kind of sexual pervert.

How fricked up do you have to be to label the saints as the victims in all of this?
This ‘story’ ‘breaking’ on the Monday of the Super Bowl being hosted in New Orleans and yoy’re not capable of reading between the lines?
C’mon, man.

Gotta give it to you. It takes an Olga Corbett level of mental gymnastics to equate going to a strip club with helping someone evade being placed on a child's sexual predators list.

I think it was a pretty good analogy actually.
Of course, the whole premise of my post is assuming that the Saints did nothing wrong. If they helped a priest who was guilty of molestation avoid being named on the list, then the Saints would be guilty of a crime and then nothing I said above applies.

Jesus man. I see your fandom means A LOT to you to go through those types of mental gymnastics.

Not really into supporting a team (that is probably already a shitty return on investment) that is in ANY WAY involved in helping out child predators and pedophiles, even if it isn’t “illegal.” I don’t even think that’s a huge moral stand

This isn’t a court of law. Sports fandom is something that likely waxes and wanes for most people depending on a ton of life factors. “Feeling gross” about a team you supported running PR for a bunch of pedos is a perfectly acceptable reason to be like “you know I think I’m good for awhile.”
IF this saints organization and front office brass helped prep the archbishop and helped pedo priests avoid a list, I’m (and I’d assume a lot of others) are done until there is a change, legal or not.

Mitigate the damage of fricking little boys?
Are you clowns serious?

All this shite would stop if we just starting killing pedos

Would you give free PR assistance to an organization looking to minimize raping little boys ? If you have kids take a long look in the mirror before answering.

Helping the largest child rape organization in the world is not exactly something anyone wants on the corporate logo

Any attorney worth his salt working for these victims has to be on this story with a fine tooth comb.
This isn't a new revelation, this information came out through the discovery process for the lawsuits. The attorney's have known about this for a long time.

To me the funniest thing about all this is that people in New Orleans believe that the city’s largest employers like the Saints,Ochsner, Entergy, Tulane, etc actually know anything about anything. All of those organizations and companies are run by people who would be considered legally retarded in almost any other city. Greg Bensel and Mickey Loomis being at the top of that list.

The whole situation is crazy. Why would the Saints as an organization want to even come close to being associated with the Catholic church on this matter? Well because Gayle Benson is always around town with Archbishop Aymond, He introduced Gayle to Tom. She takes him to all the big events and the best restaurants in the city.

Kinda makes you wonder if the saints and pels could have been implicated in some of the crimes a-la Penn state under Sandusky who was using the team to lure kids into his trap
