Eight-time Pro-Bowl DE Cameron Jordan, the Saints’ all-time leading franchise sack leader, reached agreement on a two-year, $27.5 million guaranteed contract extension that ties him to New Orleans through the 2025 season. The $27.5 million in new money comes with $27.5 million in guarantees and is the largest contract on average and guarantees for any defensive player in NFL history at the age of 34. This deal was negotiated and confirmed by his long-time agents @DHendrickson41 and @CJLaBoy of @WASSERMAN.

This marks the fourth multi-year contract between Jordan and the Saints and it will take @camjordan94 through his 15th season with the franchise.  Jordan has played in 16 games in every single season of his illustrious 12-year career. His 115.5 career sacks are second-most among active players, only behind Von Miller’s 123.5.  Jordan also now has played in 192 games in a Saints’ uniform, which is the fourth-most in franchise history. He’s on pace to surpass Rickey Jackson (195) and Morten Anderson (196) for the second-most games played as a Saint, with only Drew Brees (228) ahead of him. His next stop after New Orleans is expected to be Canton.

Great deal for a guy who wants to be a saint for life. One of the greatest saints in franchise history imo.

The fact that he’s played 16 games every year is just nuts. An absolute Ironman. We really need to appreciate guys like this because in todays game there isn’t a ton of loyalty left.

What a quintessential pro.

Just another reason to say frick the incompetent and/or corrupt NFL for screwing him out of a SB appearance in 2018.

I know the career success wasn’t there mostly because of supporting cast on the field and off. But Archie should get a honorable mention here. For 11 years he put up with some craziest insane shite from the Saints and never asked to be traded, bitched or tried to force a coach to fired.

Those same ppl are defending Jonathan Taylor who has had one great season and one subpar season and is trying to force a new contract going into his 3rd year.
Are they over paying for a 34 year old DL yeah maybe but IMO based on his career he has earned it. This will no doubt be his last contract and he will retire a Saint.

I've read and heard mentioned a few times how good of a camp he is having and that he picked up where he left off last year. So I'm assuming the club just decided to get it done. He is also a huge locker room and field influence it doesn't hurt team moral either. PAY THE MAN!
