Bucky Brooks thinks Rosen would be a good fit with Sean Payton

New Orleans Saints: Sean Payton is unquestionably one of the top play designers in football, and he understands how to build a plan around the strengths of his quarterback. Rosen's skills as a classic drop-back passer complement the Saints' downhill running game and match the seam-based passing attack that's helped Drew Brees flourish in the Superdome.

I wouldn't hate trading for him. Sit this year then still have 3 years of a rookie deal. Depends on the pick though.

Yep. I think it would be a great trade if we don't have to overpay.

Most Qb's are garbage in their rookie year. I'm not saying he'll be good in the future, but I wouldn't be surpised if he was.
Not sure what the Cards are asking, but I think that's worth a decent draft pick. Getting him with 3 years left on a rookie contract is VERY smart.

Rosen is a POS human being

Rosen will be a back up only in his career.

Would y'all do it if it was next year's 3rd only?
I'd def think long and hard about it.
Looking like teddy could be back

Rosen has all the tools to be very good. I can’t imagine the Cards not taking less than a 1 if they deal him.

Would anyone be upset if you drafted Josh rosen with a 3rd round pick this year, even a 2nd?
Only an idiot would be upset
A few analysts still have him as the #1 QB in last year and this year’s class
Switched OCs mid-season
•Played behind NFL's worst pass pro O-Line & was extremely inexperienced
•Extremely inexperienced receiving corps
•Of any rookie QB:
-Faced most top-15 pass Ds
-Faced least bottom-15 pass Ds

Yea, and San Diego drafted Phillip Rivers because they didn’t think Drew was the answer...

We need to call whoever that SD GM was to figure out what QB to draft. Pretty impressive to draft brees and rivers

that's an informed post if i've ever seen one Gyno
i'm not a big Rosen fan but that would obviously change if we did trade for him.

Ohh I agree I would do it.
So it's been mentioned he could be had for a 3rd, which probably isn't true but if it is we will see pretty soon

Only reason I was saying is think long and hard is because we have no picks this year.
If they accept next year's 3rd I'd do it.
And people have him ranked as number 1 qb.
Do you?
I def dont

Rosen for this years back of the round 2nd works for me.
Rosen and Payton can just be jackasses towards the NFL together.

I'd be interested to see what he can do behind a real offensive line and having multiple weapons to throw to. Oh and have two healthy RBs that are pro bowl level and are deadly catching out of the backfield.

I'd do next year's 3rd in a second. Maybe even up to the 2. I'd do that over spending 10-20M on Teddy as insurance. I don't want to give up this year's second unless it helps net another starter this year.
