That’s all

Doesn’t have a single NFL QB physical attribute

And to think, they picked him over Stroud.

He makes Drew Brees look like Allen
Posted on 9/8/24 at 3:09 pm to MetArl15
He is the same height as taylor swift

Pretty wild how different Bryce Young and Stoud have turned out. Young had the highest Wonderlic score out of all QBs while Stroud had the lowest. Young hasn't shown any inkling that he can read a defense while Stoud has been good at that.

He looks really short out there. How did he win the Heisman again?

What I saw was a QB who stinks at throwing on the run or when flushed. So many over throws today.

He is definitely shorter than Swift

He was good in college, but transition to the NFL is a total different game speed. He looks like a deer in headlights. Bad pick by the Panthers.

The trade CAR did to draft Young will be 1 that keeps them terrible for a decade or longer
Posted on 9/8/24 at 4:33 pm to MetArl15
Speaking of terrible. I’m kinda glad we missed out on Watson
Posted on 9/8/24 at 4:37 pm to MetArl15
Anyone with an IQ could have seen this a mile away. Good luck Panthers.

He’s short but he makes up for it with inaccuracy. - John McKay misquote

His haircut is as bad as his accuracy.

Always thought he was overhyped at Bama. He did some things well, but I never saw not thought he was the next coming of.... Dude is small out there and looks like a middle grader playing varsity ball bc his dad the coach, lol.
And Stroud being the supernova he was last year did him NO FAVORS... It's his team, they invested in him, but we NOW are seeing teams QUICKLY turn from the highly drafted "franchise QB" for another shot at the FRANCHISE QB, in less than 2 years, shite 1 year if the QB on the draft board has the untarnished "surefire" "it" factor," i.e. In the last 5 years or so, it's a little alarming how teams give up quick on their, pencil in, drafted QB of the future for the next "decade" or so....
Stroud just made it worse for all young QB's now and near future. He showed you can start out the gate, and not only do well but shite be a Pro Bowler, if not for him having to pay his dues... The Texans wasn't built perfectly for him to succeed, dude just balled out.
Young is in trouble, the Coach is in more trouble and I really don't see growth or a modicum of improvement over the off season with dude... I wonder, at times, is he able to see over his offensive line bc he stay with errant throws or missed receiver open opportunities. And what's very concerning is HE DOESNT SEEM to be Anticipating the necessary, tough throws needed for a winning, starting QB. I NEVER found myself amazed at his ARM TALENT... Thought it always was average, but I withheld judgment bc shite he won the Heisman on them Bama "slant" throws or "death by a 1000" screens," for an offense. Firmly of the belief BAMA Qb's never truly developed bc of such a dominant offensive line that they rarely had to show their chops. All they ever had to do was manage the game, so the talent never had to develop like normal. And it always showed in a close game later in Saban's tenure... And no I don't give Saban credit for Hurts, bc Jalen was pedestrian at Bama, a 5th rounder, IMHO, before he balled out at Oklahoma. Hurts shined in SPITE OF SABAN... He did what the others didn't have to do.... Compete to really hold his spot and went really learn Quarterbacking at Oklahoma.
Maybe it's the coach/coordinator, offense/scheme, but man Young has yet to even look like a backup QB, let alone, starter..
Saban never could produce a NFL QB at Bama. Young might solidify that notion as FACT.
Unfortunately, I can't say I'm rooting for the kid, my Bama/LSU arguments of who's better in the pros has me winning soundly at WR and QB (Jayden will flourish this year as a starter, at some point THIS year, he's got the "it" factor---LOL.), while still holding on to #DBU and our LB's tend come out gang busters upon entry into the League, but setttle in to mediocrity. Kinda losing our prestige on both sides of the ball, when it comes to the line of scrimmage, but can't have it all right?....
Young has and will end up a success no matter his career, bc he's financially secured for life and to be considered included in the 1% club- that's what's most important.
So, I have NO PROBLEM admitting to at most being indifferent as to wanting him to succeed. IDC. And it would be fitting to cap off the fact that Saban was NOT a developer of talent at Bama. The talent was talented B4 they got to Tuscaloosa... Best recruiter of all time, I give him that, but that's exactly why he retired, he knew he would fall back to the pack... I wanna say he was overrated, but I won't bc he got his "chips" thru recruiting with the added benefit of under the table NIL deals before it became a thing...
Remember, the family hires on coaching staff, the scholly's to family and girlfriends to tag along, the CHARGERS and CHALLENGERS given for years as part of the "package" to receive a college "education." Along with the powers that be, in the glass office in Birmingham giving him favor when it came to ANYTHING... We had to WIN, WIN to beat Bama bc they became the 2000-07 Auburn on steroids when it came to officiating, turning a blind eye to recruitment tactics and all that "analyst" shite, hire a kid's dad-coach to secure the commitment. He was CHAMPION OF RECRUITING.. Development of players? Very debatable as far as I'm concerned. Gotta hit on some of the 5 stars when you signing 10+ a year.. But, not many became STARS in the League. I dare any Bamer to give an objective list of such. That list short than mf'er.
My only wish was that we could of won the chip last year to send him home retired and apprehensive of his future success primarily against the Tigers.
Long post, f@ck it, deal with it. Bryce Young TRASH and Saban was overrated. Period. Rant off.
