after 15 years of single handily doing more for the city of New Orleans, the franchise of the Saints, and arguably even the state of Louisiana (yes, he was that big of a deal) than ANY other professional athlete, politician, citizen, etc. ... and that wasn't even enough for anyone in a prominent position within the team to stand up for this man during the early hours of this mess.
not Gayle Benson ... not Sean Payton ... not any of the notable players ... it took a damn 23 year old defensive player (Davenport) to have the balls to go against the hate-filled, ignorant bandwagon and defend Brees publicly. absolutely sickening.
The president of the United States stood up for him during the early hours of this mess and had his back, and now tonight Brees just took a shite on him for it. pathetic.
