Brees is a system QB. The numbers don’t lie.

Over the past two years, back up qbs have gone 6-0 under Sean Payton.

If nfl defenses can’t figure out how to stop “the system” Brees plays in, that’s their problem. For goodness sakes we still implement a fullback half the time. As I said on MSB yesterday, even Brees has mentioned in the past, it’s an old school system

Great title, one problem, you didn't give any numbers. If you would have you would have figured out you were wrong on your own.

I upvoted because I like when people think "outside the box".

Brees was a pro bowl QB before he ever met Sean Payton.

Hurl yourself into traffic.

Our defensive performance over that 6-0 period was unlike anything Drew had behind him the majority of his saints career. Nothing to take away from Teddy and Taysom doing a great job, though. Drew is still the greatest.

By that logic, Montana and Young should be considered system QB’s.

If those backups had the defense from the 7-9 years, they would be 0-6.

Wins are a team stat. The defense has played brilliantly plus Brees is over 40

I love Sean Payton and what he did with this franchise is amazing but only 1 SB and 2 other NFCCG appearances in 15 years with a HOF QB is not GOAT material sorry

I don't recall Bridgewater or Hill putting up the passing numbers consistently during their stretch.

And if he is a system QB, wouldn't other NFL teams figure him out already instead of 20 years he has been in the league, owning virtually most of the QB records and closing in on 80,000 pass yards ???
