Brees gets a brutal critique from a Fox analyst. 'He's not as loved as he thinks he is.'

Yeah sure. NBC dropped him after a year because they were in love with his personality and talent.
Drew Brees is an attention whore who didn’t know when to hang it up and it ended up costing us multiple seasons with premium talent.
Love the guy for what he did, but he’s not off limits to criticism

He’s probably not completely wrong. But this need to continue to shite on tGOAT Saints player by a certain politically obsessed portion of our fanbase is pretty pathetic.

It’s amazing to me how so many “fans” can shite on the guy who almost died how handedly brought the franchise from an open joke to legitimate yearly contenders. What have you done for me lately syndrome at work.

I am so sick and tired of Brees being blamed for the Jacob Blake crap. That was Payton's idea and the ENTIRE team wore it. So bring it up anytime anyone from the Saints is ever mentioned then.
Brees was in a lose/lose situation there. It's pretty sad that people throw away all the good Brees did over one stupid 2020 year.
These people won't ever miss an opportunity to shite on a guy that did way more good than his screw ups. People are ridiculous.

Let’s be honest. I think the whole American flag situation has paralyzed Brees and his natural flow and personality.
He received such a large fall out for an innocuous comment, he felt the need to overcorrect to save face with his African American teammates so he could play out 1 last season. Then his very large fanbase started hating and bailing out on him due to his panicked overcorrection even though most would have done the same in a similarly public situation.
Now the man is paralyzed with a live mic in front of his face.
He probably needs to take a break. Maybe just focus on doing interviews with players or something. He had a great 1 on 1 interview with Joe Burrow before the Super Bowl. That’s the type of stuff he should stick to from here on out.
