Brate is a RFA and we don't have a 2nd rounder.

2nd this. He will be cheap, he's athletic, still young. Kid is exactly what we need that fits within the cap. Overshadowed by Ertz.

I say cut Fleener and Hill, sign Burton and pick up a another TE in the draft since there are so many good ones this year. Offense will be stacked.

At WR I would be thrilled with Richardson.

At TE I would prefer Burton the focus on OL and Defense in the draft.

Maybe pick up another LB in FA if we have the cap space.

Neither. This draft is loaded with TEs. Why soend big bucks on a position we can draft?

Brate...
Whatever it takes (within reason).
We need to win now, next 2 years.

Cause TE in the NFL is notorious for taking at least one and, more often than not, 2 full years to fully develop. Take a look at Hunter Henry. Athletic ability for days. Experience in a run blocking scheme at Arkansas and he's yet to really be a big time difference maker for SD. And he was as good a prospect as any TE in this years draft. Clearly there's a learning curve at that position. We need immediate impact now.

Add OJ Howard for TB, Austin Hooper for ATL, Eric Ebron for Detroit. OJ for example was this arguably absolutely amazing prospect, people talked top 10 pick, and struggled this year.

Ertz, Kelce, Gronk, and Graham weren't elite/above their 1st year.

Walker and Olsen took time.

Even Evan Engram this year had a ton of opportunities due to injuries to NYG's WRs and he struggled some (drops mainly)

Which better value at tight end.
Brate had 14 or 16 tds the last two years.
Wide receiver yeah u can get better value but for a tight end to come in and start and play well.
Burton is going to cost more than yall think

I like Gesicki at TE but at the moment we do not have a 2nd round pick. I say let Vaccaro go and get compensated a 2nd or no less than another 3rd as he was selected 13th overall. I think the Wisky kid at TE will be there in the 3rd round.

Burton may end up being the highest paid TE to come out of FA this offseason. He would fit well with drew but I don’t think we can pony up for him. Or maybe we can after some cuts, as he would fill a big need with another pass catcher

Saints drafted Burton’s grandfather back in 1975. He went to purdue. Drew went to Purdue. It’s basically happening
