The dude is basically god in Detroit at this point. The Lions are the best team in football and haven't won anything in almost 70 years. The city and owner are downright desperate to make this team a success story. He and Dan Campbell are invincible until this team wins a Superbowl.
Why would you leave that to go to a shite organization like the Bears or Bengals?

I know the Rolex story. That’s pretty bad lol. Let’s not act like the bears ownership is some shining example compared to him tho. The bears front office is as dysfunctional as any.

Don't care about him anymore. I do wonder if the Texans kinda stale season has taken enough bloom off the rose of Bobby Slowik that we can sneak in there and steal a "distressed" asset.

The only ones this would turn off are the dysfunctional ones who don't want to win and beneath him.

lol i don’t necessarily disagree. But, if you look at the bears, the last handful of coaches made it a max 3 years and that may have been Nagy. There isn’t a chance imo this dude goes there. He wants stability and control to build a what he envisions. I do think the saints offer stability for a coach. We try our damndest not to fire a coach even when they suck. But, unless they give him full control he won’t even consider this. But, our roster isn’t ideal at all so i just don’t see him coming here. But, any good coach who can build a team will dominate this division for years to come because this division is in shambles

I’m not sure the Bears had any chance given the QBs they drafted and the HCs they hired. They do have Caleb Williams and the 5th most cap space in 2025, along with some good talent. That’s a nice starting point
Our FO is stable in tenure only. They created the mess the next HC will inherit. You will have to eat shite for years before the slate is clear and that is if Loomis doesn’t keep kicking the can. We don’t really have any top tier young talent. I just don’t see the appeal for the top guy to come here
Even the Jets will have cap space and draft capital and a lot of young studs. And then you have to consider if the Raider, Cowboy, Giants jobs come available. I don’t think we will be even a top 5 most appealing job

Bears is a good one.
If Cincy fires Taylor, and it’s possible depending on how they finish, everyone will be lining up to interview with the Bengals.

So is the cap situation on Loomis or Payton??? If Payton had control, Loomis was just making contracts work for the team Payton wanted??? Then would it matter to Johnson about Loomis’ contracts as long as he gets the team he wants…????

Are you 3 years old? Must be because just prior to that time frame the Saints had a head coach wrap up an uncommonly long tenure, with an uncommon amount of control, after being hired as a young, unproven OC by basically this exact same front office.

Hmm kinda like I said three years ago Allen was not a good hire and if the Saints were serious about winning Harbaugh should be the hire. Notice we had zero interest in him.
Micky isn’t giving up that power. Look for a yes man with no stroke like Brady or Aaron Glen to be the hire.

Also, an assessment from the team as to what has gone wrong and how they’ll fix it.
We’re out. Mickey doesn’t think we’ve done anything wrong and the prospective coach needs to look “beyond the results.”

Not if a certain HC in Cincy gets canned. Which he should.. which would make that the more attractive job. The best QB and the best receiver in the league already on roster and an elite edge rusher.
Agree, it will be the number one job. But it’s not open yet. Don’t care how bad ownership, you have a franchise qb that’s been knocking on the door to the superbowl and the best receiver in the league. The cake is already made, just have to bake it.

Well said. It’s sell the team time for a total reboot including relocation if that’s what it takes.

This fricking guy only posts about selling and moving the team

Because he wants a serious organization that wants to have their shite together and win?

But yea the bears job is the best. Tons of offensive weapons and a few really good players on defense.
I’d argue that the jags is a better job than the bears. Much nicer place to raise his young family with way less taxes, an elite and a very good young pass rusher, an alpha WR, 2 good running backs, good linebackers. All depends on how he views Lawrence vs Caleb.

I'm convinced that Campbell has already sold Johnson on the Saints being the job he should take. I believe that sell was a component of why he didn't take any job last cycle. The Saints are a tremendous situation for a competent head coach. The front office and owner are basically just there to make numbers work, no real football centric person at that level of leadership. Leaving the Head Coach as the person having the greatest influence on roster/football decisions.
The saints were a tremendous situation because we had a hall of fame qb and a near hall of fame coach for an extended period of time.
We were really never even a better than average situation at any other point before or after.
