How things have changed. After 2-0 start just about everyone on here wanted to promote Kubiak to head coach and demote DA.

The DA stink is now on Kubiak. Need to get the skunk out and everything it scented.

Why wouldn’t the Saints be able to afford him?

Asking too much money to pay him. Sometimes not worth it.

Plus we're not that attractive of a market. Salary cap is an issue and no viable QB to get behind.

No chance we can afford his services.

She won't pull the plug on Loomis, at best he fails up.

Wont be popular but i’d at least interview Flores. Surely learned a lot from his failures on and off the field in Miami. Heck of a defensive coach.

I have already stated this multiple time, it's practically a done deal.

Unfortunately,

will be the next Saints HC.

everyone keeps saying we don't have a roster or the cap space to offer a new coach a pretty deal. Tell me when a franchise does an overhaul, what happens? They usually clean house. Haslett and Mueller did it after Ditka, Payton and Loomis did it after Haslett. We have a lot of guys that will be retiring soon, a top 10 pick in the draft probably, a great cap situation the year after and an owner and GM who have been known to spend the money and capital to get the players they want. This would be a golden opportunity for Ben Johnson. I'm sure a lot of the former Saints players and personnel that are in Detroit will have nothing but good things to say about our franchise, being that they were here in the most successful years. He has an opportunity to come in and build this roster just like he wants it and draft a top tier guy, knowing that first year is implementing his style and not feeling the seat getting hot at all and then making a move to draft Arch. bam!

The problem is, we can't do this.

That's why it's such an ugly offer for any elite HC. He won't be able to mold his own roster for 2-4 years. So any HC taking the job knows we will likely suck for 2-4 years, minimum, which may get them fired and tarnish their star.
