The 31-year-old Philadelphia Eagles castoff is “still torn between (the) 49ers and Saints,” NFL Network reported, adding New Orleans is “pushing really hard to get him.”

Nothing new besides an updated report from earlier tonight that shows he is still battling between us and the 49ers. He might come here thanks to the fact that he would start yesterday if he comes to NO.

Is it really that difficult to choose?

You're basically getting the same money from both teams, so why not come to the team that has the coach that made you into a star?

Just my opinion but it sounds like the Saints have made their best deal and he is still waiting on San Frans Best Deal.

you think he's thinking along the lines of, "if I go to nola, I may get burned a lot and my career can be over, but at the same time I could turn it around and bank..."

Enoughs enough, if he hasn't decided by now then the hell with him and move on, if he wanted to come here then he would have jumped on it, so obviously he doesn't wanna come here. 15+ days, who does he think he is....... Brett Favre.

Please tell me you aren't putting Brees and Asomugha in the same class of ball players.

Asomugha > Brees

One is a first ballot HOF. The other is a system QB with garbage time stats.

Have we met before?

I'm starting to think we don't need another CB anyway.

Are we super confident in our existing safeties?
Because they were the worst in the league last season, technically.

Asomugha was just as dominant if not more so than Brees at their respective positions for several years. CB just requires the most athleticism of any position. So you can see a much more rapid decline. IMO of course.

Not in any way, shape or form. What I'm worried about is Jenkins being place in the starting spot without being under any serious threat of being unseated. I think IAQ showed more than enough to be seriously considered for the starting job. He takes better angles, hits harder and has some ball skills. Taking bad angles is a horrible trait for a safety.

I'm less worried about Harper, but I wish they'd do something about his contract. We know what Harper is. He has a very specific skill set. I would like a more well rounded safety. Maybe Bush or Nelson can be the future or the bridge at the position.

I don't remember a time since payton's been here where the team pursued a player this way (had interest for this long). Must be Ryan behind it.
