Yeah it's interesting. Talks about us needing backup qb and another safety. Which those assessments are somewhat accurate. But this was all political.

It is a political article that makes sense personel wise due to the Saints having what I see as three weaknesses and the article addresses two of them. I think Reid would be good and make the team. Kaepernick I am not sure is any better than Savage at this point. I would rather have Bridgewater, RG3, or if somehow Brees is injured bad make a trade for Foles.
Saints could still use:
Backup QB - Dont want Kaepernick
One more quality safety - Reid would help.
Tight end - there should be someone cut that is better than Hooman.

Look I support Kap and what he was trying to do but people also forget that he’s absolutely garbage..
Don’t want him as a player.. Salute him for standing for what he believes in though but I have to say no on him..

Eric Reid would be a decent signing. Kaepernick isn’t any better than what we’ve got.

I'm impressed by the posts so far.
That being said, we don't need the distraction kaep would bring.
Reid is an LSU guy, so he might actually survive the animosity from the fanbase.
We should find a better backup QB though. Somewhere.

Yeah, I don’t understand how people are saying they don’t want Kap, or that what we have is better than him FROM A PURE TALENT PERSPECTIVE.
In no way, do I want that headache or distraction that would come with him. But, to say that Savage is better is laughable.
Reid is better than Bell, but I don’t know about Coleman until I see him play strong this year opposite Williams. Again, don’t I want the baggage that comes with him though.
We are not the type of team these days to bring that drama into the locker room anyways.

I agree with most about Kap, he will be garbage and way to much baggage. Reid though, if he fits the role DA and SP need him for than why not. SP has made controversial comments in the past that a majority of his fan base would disagree with him on. Without knowing the contract details (if there are any) I doubt SP even gives it a second though signing Reid if he can come in and contribute to a weak safety position.
