Me and my bro-in-law got tickets for the game in October. I heard horror stories about their fans towards our fans at the NFC championship in 06’. Has anyone been?

Yep as we walked to Game in07 we were taunted about living underwater and in sewers just after K .Everyone laughed and jumped on. Worst display of inhumanity I’ve ever witnessed. I went back in 13 and wore those Mofos out when we beat dat arse. Wonderful City horrible fan base .

Yes, 2007 sucked. No, they are not like that in the regular season. I went in 2013 and it was awesome. I think it was early October and weather was perfect. Tailgating sucks though unless you know someone because you can only drink in parking lots or on boats.

In summation, just go and see for yourself. I wouldn’t let them ruin it. Philly is far far worse. Bills were actually pretty bad too.

I live in chi, they are really bad

Went to the game last time they were in town (2015 or 2016 I believe) and they were still coming with the Katrina digs, i was so confused. Was during our 7-9 run but it was still awesome watching kick their arse.

I talked to a bartender there about it and he swore they weren’t bad, but I think he was FOS. He started saying if you act like an arse you’ll get heat up or some such trashy nonsense. Just him bringing that up made me think it was bad

True story from when I was a kid living in Chicago:

Went to a Cubs game at Wrigley, with my Little League team. When the guy came down the rows selling hats etc, I bought a Dodger cap. I didn’t know any better, just thought all the MLB teams were cool. I was 8 years old without my parents there.

Guy takes my money, hands me the cap and said “traitor”. My feelings would have been hurt if I knew what the word meant.

Anyway, I always thought that was a uniquely Chicago interaction.

Chicago fans are a joy compared to Philly fans. I honestly thought we were going to get jumped when we went to the Saints last game in Philly. They didn’t let up the entire game cursing at us. It went way beyond the line of natural ribbing between cities and teams.

Do the architectural boat tour and the Art Institute of Chicago. That's all I've got. Definitely do the boat tour. People think that they're above it because it's touristy, but it's fantastic.

The story of this building is insane:

Thousands of gallons of water prevent it from tipping over.

The ones that sat in front of us in 2017 were pretty cool. But I'm not sure I'd venture to Soldier Field this season. The 2006 NFCCG stories we've heard about are awful.

Philly is the worse The old Veterans stadium use to have a jail in its basement with a judge at every game for all the fights they'd have in their stands at every game... Fact!!!

You hear horror stories about every away trip. It's all about how you take shite talk. If you are able to take it and just keep walking then it won't last long and you will make friends. If you let it get to you and start chirping back then it's going to be a long day for you. When I was going to Buffalo in 2017 there were multiple people who were talking about how "bad" the fans were.......we were invited to a Bills Mafia tailgate with a fire within 5 minutes of parking and we are going to repay the favor to that same group in 2021 when the Bills come to the Dome. The worst part of an away trip is the walk out of the stadium if the Saints lose, it's going to be brutal regardless of location so just walk out as quick as possible and ignore everyone.

I have never seen someone in a stadium selling gear for another team

They're bad to each other too. Most miserable fan base. Lived in Chicago for 3 years and I was sick of hearing about the '85 Bears. Watched a few games with my girlfriend at a bar and I was surprised at the lack of enthusiasm. After a TD they might clap. Watch a Saints game with my friends and we celebrate a first down with more vigor than Bears fans after a win.

It was in the stadium. Perhaps on a walkway not in the seats. That part of the memory is fuzzy. The rest is pure.

Went to a Brewers game recently with work and they sold hats for the other team. I think It’s just a way to make money from visiting fans. Definitely not done in the NFL, but baseball plays 100 games.

I was surprised to hear horror stories about San Francisco.

Some of the worst fans. One Saints players family had to leave the game in the third quarter.

I was in a Bears bar in Minneapolis during a huge Bears win. Big implications and exciting finish. The reactions from the many Bears fans that were there was basically what you saw. A few claps and a few high fives, then back to eating.
