and taking the Michael Thomas approach of being "hurt".

Would not be surprised if the following do not play again this season:

Lattimore
Ingram
Winston
Davenport
Werner (though he gets a pass)
Andrus Peat

Dennis has lost this team it seems.

Why should we play them? We're terrible and playing for nothing right now. Is it worth it to risk a career altering injury to any of them, at this point?

What a pathetically stupid take.

Sorry that's a bit harsh. Let me restate what I just said.
I apologize a little.
Edit to say: That's a terrible take.

What information is this based on? You know people get hurt in football correct? Also Davenport has zero incentive to “opt out” as he’s having a bad year and it’s a contract year.

And thank god for that ! IF he were having even a mediocre year...the saints would sign him to yet another idiotic contract with no way out, if he decides he can't really play ! Seems like it's about time we cull as many prima-donna/continuously 'hurt' players from the roster PERMANENTLY....take a big hit $'wise but finally clear the books of any/all dead weight...would take a few years but prob. worth it ! We're going NO-WHERE with the current roster/staff !

It was 100% expected of Davenport and Project Peat
Get rid of both of those bums
That’s 3 first round pick busts there

@nick_underhill
Pete Werner had surgery on his ankle. He's already ahead of schedule and there's hope that he plays again this season.

If he’s not on IR already it’s safe to say it’s not an Achilles thank god so probably an ankle sprain. If it were a high ankle sprain I think they would have put him on IR to return because that’s a 6 week injury.

Ok so then it was a high ankle sprain and they did that tightrope surgery. I think Tua had it when he was in college at Alabama and played in 3 weeks. Provably safer to say 4-6 weeks so I wouldn’t clog a roster spot up when you can stash him on IR like McCoy.

Put some guys on IR. Take a look at some younger guys on your team and on others PS and make plans for the future.
