What is a move going right now going to do, exactly?

Our problems are our roster and cap situation.

I don't understand how the Saints can be in such terrible cap space. it's not like they have all of these high priced super stars. they have none.

Problem is Loomis needs to go. That should be the first step

Wait until the end of the season, lose out, then clean house from front office down to coaches.

Loomis is a big part of the reason we're here. Benson doesn't know shite and relies on him, so he isn't going anywhere. DA has to go, but with Loomis staying I'm not sure you see enough of a change.

We absolutely need to hope someome wants Travis Hunter or whoever else at the top of the draft enough that we trade back. This isn't the BPA year for us at #1 or #2, lets get a couple #1s and get our QB in 2026 draft.

ETA: and trade everyone worth a good enough pick by Tuesday

Loomis is as big of the problem as Allen is.

His drafting strategy and csp management might be the worst in the league.

So now he gives Allen an extension? That's the typical Loomis move

Loomis needs to go first! Let a new GM hire the coach.
The Saints need to have a fire sale. Trade players for money leverage.

Because Loomis signs players to stupid contracts. When realizing the Saints are over the cap, Loomis restructures the contract with more money being owed in the following 2-3 years.

Saints are in serious financial trouble next year, as 2025 contracts will be $77,000,000 OVER the salary cap. 32nd in the league with the next closest being $39M
