Any truth to the rumor that the Saints hired Lions DC Aaron Glenn?

None. They can’t even interview any coaches until after the season. Teams that are still playing need to then grant permission to interview their coaches (typically only done by teams with a bye week), or you have to wait until they are eliminated. The rumors you are seeing is purely speculation because of Glenn’s previous ties to the Saints and the fact that Loomis went with DA last time.

In other words, everyone wants to be able to say they called it first

In my opinion, gruden would be a great hire. He's the top of the heap of people I could see actually taking the job here. We don't have any shot at some of these younger prospects being thrown around on board, doubt we even get an interview with ben johnson for instance. I think vrabel would sit out another year hoping for NE job before he ever considered coming here. The only name mentioned so far that i would be genuinely upset with is Mike McCarthy

Gruden is probably the best we can hope for. Next coach will eventually be a fall guy anyway, hard to turn around a team with no young talent. Its a pretty terrible situation, capwise, talent wise, everything wise. Out of people that would realistically come take hc job here, gruden seems like he has the clout and would tell Loomis if he disagrees with him.
