Am I still one of the few who still have a sickening feeling over the Saints

loss?

It's still unbelievable that GW would call so many man coverages on the 49ers final two drives

It's hard to believe that when he had decided to play man coverage, he didn't put some pressure on the QB.

People may say the turnovers caused the game and those may have contributed, but we had that game in our pocket twice, but GW passive defensive calls gave it away in the end.

Sorry about rehashing, but this is my first post since the loss.

I wouldn't call his defensive play-calling passive. In fact, it was the exact opposite.

But I'm still hurting and frustrated. We should have won that game.

Gut wrenching as the Saints game was, the LSU - Bama game was tougher to take. At least the Saints took their early blows, got up off the deck and came back fighting.

LSU, not so much.

Saints game was kinda like this...

LSU game was more like this...

I'm even more pissed now that the Giants won because I know we would beat them at home.

If the 49ers go on to win the whole thing I'll be even more pissed because I know we should have beat them.

I feel the opposite, the LSU game was kind of it is what it is.....we just got mauled. So damn many things went wrong and we were never really in the game.

The Saints on the other hand, there are a million what ifs that can be asked. It is also more gut wrenching since we took the lead, got the 2 point conversion with less than 2 minutes remaining, and still blew it.

I still haven't decided what was worse yet. I was at the LSU game, so that makes it really bad, but Bama was the better team and deserved to win. The Saints on the other hand gave the game away yesterday. And like I said above, I know we would beat the Giants next week at home.

So I don't know if its worse to witness the loss in person, or lose and know we should have won. Its gonna be a long off-season for both, that's for sure.

No. I have been drinking various types of whiskey steadily since the game and haven't shaved or changed clothes. I'm not going to work tomorrow and will continue to drink and not shave until maybe Tuesday, maybe later.

FTR, I never drink more than one drink when I'm just at home without company. I've pretty much had a glass in my hand for the past 24 hours. I've gone through about a third of a bottle of Balvenie 12, and a whole bottle of Wild Turkey. Family members are calling me periodically to check on me because they are concerned. Mrs. Jamohn is well trained in dealing with me when the Saints lose, so she's just been avoiding me.

ETA, looking at my post, it's become apparent to me that I overuse commas, when I've been drinking.

I know you didn't mean it this way, but this made me laugh. I haven't had many Saints related laughs over the last 36 hours. So thank you for that.

Eh, I kinda did. I'm laughing at myself. Could be all the liquor though. You're welcome.

Nope. Not the only one. The Giants winning tonight only rubs salt in the wound. NFCCG would have been in the dome and then get a shoot out Superbowl with the Patriots in another dome.
