Is this his last year in black and gold or do we restructure a new contract at the end of the year? Pumped about Miller and Eevee but going to miss that blacked out visor.

I would think that everything involving AK41 is in a holding pattern until we know if he is facing a 6-8 game suspension or 2 years in prison.

I think this is his last year here whether he goes to prison or not.

He’s nearing the age where RBs drop off. He hasn’t handled massive workloads for most of his career so I think he’ll last a bit longer than most especially as a receiving specialist.

Think it all depends on what he wants to be paid. Just kinda silly to pay higher salaries for RBs near 30 when there are so many younger cheaper options.

Sucks for the players but just kinda the reality of the situation. He’s had a good run here.

Miller will have his chance to be a featured back sometime this year. How he and the other backs look will determine much of what the FO does. And what does AK want. Chase rings or money or finish his career as a Saint?

Alvin has arguably been washed for 2 seasons. And the overall shine has worn off due to his lack of effort and off the field behavior.

I was really disappointed that we didn’t deal him at the trade deadline when the Bills and other teams came sniffing.

I honestly hate that he is still on the team and that we have lost the chance to flip him for an asset.

The moves the front office have made show they are preparing for life without Alvin.

His highest value within the last couple years was at last year’s trade deadline to a contender. Nobody wants to trade for him with that pending 6-8 game suspension. And now he has even more miles on him and mediocre game film.

Taking a 3rd for him last year would’ve been prudent. Now we are stuck with him.

How do you deem "stuck"?

Seasons end is a long way off.

6 games maybe. Comes back strong but you say no value.

All right slick.

He’s going to miss 8 games then come back fresh. As long as he stays in shape during his suspension he should be considered part of our core.

A smart GM would have dealt Drew before he retired. A smart GM would have dealt AK the season after Drew retired. We now have nothing offensively and it is the sole reason for missing the playoffs the last two years. We have been hamstrung by Drew’s contract , MT and AK. Look at the money tied up with those three and measure it against the productivity we recouped.

He was facing the suspension last year at the break. Not sure who you think would trade for him and take on that contract with such a cloudy future.

I think he comes back strong after the suspension this year in a rotation with Williams and miller.
