I get it. What's your point?

AB won't help that because he is mentally sick. He will not last a week. It simply is doubtful that it is worth it.

But we don’t ‘need’ him. We’re doing great now. Why risk it when the downside could be that the team chemistry gets destroyed.

And not just for this year.

What if AK41 and AB become best friends and AB gets cut or put on the exempt list? What if AB takes him off the deep end with him? What if he creates a divide in the locker room when we are right in the middle of the playoffs? Can AB make it through media week before the super bowl? No way!

Not worth the risk IMO.

You don’t know that.

Unless you have the ability to see into the future.

Can I have the winning powerball #’s?

What don’t you understand about basing future projections on past behavior? What in the past 9 months has convinced you this dude will play ball and shut up? What in the past week?

Look. If they sign him I support CSP and his decisions and would cheer for him and hope it makes a difference. But I would still say it’s going to blow up.

If Brown had a problem, he wouldn't hold back in voicing his frustration, including once when Roethlisberger tried to enforce his no-music policy in the locker room. "F--- you, cracker," Brown responded, according to one Steeler. The two usually hashed things out, but Brown's in-your-face, confrontational style became exhausting to some players who just wanted to come to work without issue.

Is there precedent? Sure.

This isn’t a court of law.

If he doesn’t want to catch balls and just be an asshat here’s the play....

Cut him.

Dude.

Dude.

Look at the past year. This isn't just some a-hole. He is legitimately mentally ill.

Anyways this is all moot. Schefter just said he can’t play until the league finishes its investigation which it has not.

And they won’t until after the post season

I don't even remember what they're investigating

And the dude said this is the NFL's way of colluding is spot on, as an investigation sure as shite doesn't take THAT long

That isn't what Schefter said.

quote:

NFL has not concluded its investigation of Antonio Brown; uncertain when it will. Even after it wraps, Brown still could face additional discipline. Saints bringing in Brown for due diligence, not Sunday’s game vs. Panthers. But Saints take big WR swings; see Dez Bryant last year

that isn't true. AB Can play right now. BUT if a team signs AB, then it forces the NFL to make an immediate decision whether or not to place him on the commissioners exempt list which would THEN not allow him to play.

this is correct, and so far reporters (who are never wrong ) are reporting that Goodell plans to use the exempt list to prevent him from playing.

Keep in mind that AB has missed about 14 games. Which is way more than anyone for conduct.

The question is, will Goodell count these games? IMO - he should since teams refused to sign him for that reason.

I think if the Saints or someone signed him, and he was immediately suspended/placed on list, the NFLPA would get heavily involved and there might be a grievance or lawsuit filed.

The more Saints Talk posters come out against AB, the better I feel about the possible signing.

it is a shite move for NFL to wait on a team to sign him vs making the decision already to place or not place him on exempt list.
