I’m honestly fine with Aaron Glenn. I think he deserves a shot.

So many call him “black Dennis Allen” and that’s absurd. Allen has proven he can’t be a head coach in this league twice. Glenn has never had the chance. I’d guarantee Glenn is 10x the leader Dennis Allen is, and that’s what’s needed out of a head coach the most.

Saints have had bad drafts last few years and haven’t been bad enough to draft a franchise QB since Brees left. Cincy and Washington were lucky to be horrible the years Burrow and JD5 were coming out of college. Luck is a big part of getting the franchise QB which changes everything no matter who the coach is

Boooo!!!

This feels like another comfortable, lazy hire by Loomis.

We’ll be hiring a guy who’s coached defense with this organization before and who’s buddies with Mickey Loomis. I’m afraid it will be Dennis Allen all over again.

Didn’t you hear, that’s what Aplha males love, to be put in a corner and given 24 hours to decide major life decisions

I don't think the next HC matters because it's going to take years to be a great team again. Years of good drafting in a Top 10 draft position and great free agent signings, once that is possible which again, will be years from now.

The Saints are years away from being a great football organization. Perhaps even many years.

Glenn already said Jets are his preferred choice. If Jets don’t take him then maybe Saints will try to lure Glenn if McCarthy fails to materialize.

Y’all are all crazy. Glenn would be a culture changer and would never do the dumb shite Allen did like bend the knee to the falcons. Come to think of it Allen was loomis’s bitch and probably why loomis never wanted to get rid of him. Glenn is so far away from a Dennis Allen.

I would have all the confidence in leadership and imagine assistant coaches would want to work with him

A lot of that has to do with WHO we are interviewing, them still playing and league policy regarding that these days.

I feel like this whole culture thing is the buzzword of the debate shows this year.

Winning games is the culture changer. All the other talk of culture is overblown. Payton and Andy Reid changed their teams cultures quickly because they took good personnel and started scoring a shitload of points. You don’t need a fire breather necessarily, you need competence that leads to winning.

Dan Campbell could do all the rah rah shite he wants but if he didn’t have the gm bringing in good players, good games being called, and Johnson having Goff playing at a high level it wouldn’t matter.

They have to want to interview for there to be one. Sadly, many aren’t returning Loomis’ call.

How in the world could you possibly know this? Glenn is part of the Detroit “culture”, which is part of the Sean Payton New Orleans “culture” because Glenn and Dan Campbell both worked for Payton.

You know who else was part of the Payton New Orleans culture? Dennis Allen, the guy they just fired.

Some of you people just repeat the bullshite talking heads repeat from people who have spewed that bullshite. Having good players and winning games sets culture. The Patriots started losing when Tom Brady left because they lost their best player. And they didn’t win because of their culture, they won because he was better than everyone else.

Everybody sings kumbaya and creates good culture when you win, which is set by having good players and depth.

Dan Campbell is Coach O

He has put together this incredible program but it is built to crumble when some of the main pieces dissolve.

Ben Johnson is essentially his Joe Burrow/Joe Brady combo.

Aaron Glenn is his Dave Aranda.

O got tons of accolades and attention because he is an excellent front-facing coach(especially to fanatics) with no depth, just like Dan Campbell is. He crumbled when these guys left, and he could not successfully replace these coaches.

To be fair I think Dan Campbell is a lot more level headed and dedicated than O was. Even if they win I doubt Dan is going to live his life/treat his career like he beat the final boss

I’d imagine their GM would also work diligently to get new guys in the door to keep the train going albeit maybe not at THIS level. It’s crazy how well run a historically shite organization is now.

My biggest question is honestly Goff. I’m really curious as to how he plays without Johnson. People like to act like he’s this product of the system but he WAS a number one overall pick who did have some major success early on with McVay. Maybe he’s actually just a really good qb who had a rough year and a half. Wouldn’t be first or last time.

Goff will be fine as long as he has the the best offensive supporting cast in football. I would take Johnson in a heartbeat, but I do think it's a major question how he does with an offense that isn't that talented
