because it cannot be quantified, there is no mechanism that can measure the amount of swag, attitude or ferociousness that kid possesses

TM7 was a game-changer at NB & PR, not just a playmaker. He accounted for 14 TO's & 4 TD's, & he never allowed a single TD to be scored on him in his two year (26 game) career. To discount his ball skills & football IQ because this 19 y/o kid routinely ignored sound advice & partied like the college rock star he was is misguided & near-sighted.

perfect... Well said

And those intangibles speak to his leadership. People gravitate around him and want to better their game.

Small example: The combine was for the most part a pretty boring event to watch each day. But when TM got on the field with the DB's, the combine intensity went a notch up. There was an aura of competiton with equal camaraderie amongst the guys. All rooting for each other but demanding each each guy does his best. And he was leading all that and it was infectious throughout the day.

Son of A Bitch!!! Now I hate the kid for screwing up his chances of playing at LSU!!!

Typically I hate talking about something you can't quantify when it comes to the draft, but tyrann's swag is infectious

I am not sure it matters if he smokes pot like a train. When was the last NFL player suspended for pot smoking? I have a hard time believing there aren't a ton of players smoking a feel good drug that eases pain. Perhaps they have a good system to evade detection or the NFL doesn't really care because it doesn't enhance on the field performance. In any case it obvious it didn't affect TM's play or his game day preparation in a negative way, and obviously it isn't being treated has a high priority drug to crack down on in the NFL.

Bottom line: If you think he is going to be a star in the NFL you take him.

Yeah, no way being a millionaire, in New Orleans, hanging with his old friends, and this "swag" that all you clowns describe (we used to call it self-confidence) could possibly bring on any negative situations with a confirmed drug addict.

Guys, addicts don't care where they are in life, even if they are NFL players, drug addiction has no boundaries. the only thing a rich one has is being able to hide it better (but only for a little while)

I hope he is fully recovered, but it is absolutely too huge of a gamble to use one of our coveted pics this year on him. Maybe if we were in a San Fran situation with multiple pics, then yes, take a chance.

Remember, in college these guys had people around them constantly monitoring them...not so in the NFL

If you don't mind, would please let us know of your firsthand experience in dealing with and observing these individuals? Or are you one?

Some people on the board overstate the guy's potential and some underrate what he can bring to a team. I don't think anyone's going to gamble too early on him, but I really believe he has the opportunity to be a true playmaker in the NFL.

This is a crutch people use to deflect attention from their bad decisions. People do not get addicted to weed.

No matter how true this is, there will always be people who have never tried it and genuinely believe it is addictive. I've just accepted that fact

The only thing funny is that there are sunshine guys who think that's the only abusive substance he took.

Seriously, those of you who think that are the funny part of the TM7 saga....and that's what it is to this point. TM7 wasn't sneaking around trying things for the 1st time in his dorm, he was chasing a lifestyle he desired. He was hanging with rappers, dealers, and felons...and he failed 10+ tests on his own record!

Can he make it? Absolutely!

Is being around the New Orleans area a bad idea? Absolutely!

Yeah, it was just weed guys

You can have skills all day long but if you risk it all for something as stupid as smoking weed you lack good judgement and you open yourself up to ridicule which is what happened. If you know you are living under a microscope and all you have to do is toe the line to have the world handed to you on a platter and you still screw it up, that means you are stupid. and I'm a liberal saying that.
