If 6-7 months is correct that means he smoked after being kicked off the team and then still after getting arrested which was after knowing the consequences

This is well known. It's a pretty big blow, I'd probably take comfort in some alcohol at the least initially

What's my agenda? I would feel the same way about him if he played Oregon or Oklahoma.

It does the exact opposite with me.

It shows that he is being open and honest about who he was, and trying to confront his problems head on.

This should actually give you hope for him.

You sure do make a lot of excuses for this guy. He just got kicked off of the team for smoking weed. I can understand why he'd do it again.

It's not hyperbole. There's more being made about a little weed smoking than what would have been made had committed some sort of other more serious crime. Period. End of story.

You want to beat the "oh my i'm so against drafting tyrann cause he smoked some weed in college and i'm so scared"

It's really not the weed smoking. At least not to me. It's continuing to do something even though you know it can gets you in lots of trouble.

I wish I was his agent. I'd make a pretty sweet commission.

I get so tired of reading all of these pompous arse people's statements, talking about how he is nothing but trouble and we don't want him here. Who here has ever gotten a speeding ticket? Now who here still drives above the speed limit? Well all those that answered yes to both of those questions, leave....we don't want you hear. Because truth be told, speeding is more dangerous to others than smoking weed. (and no I am not a pot head, I have never done a drug in my life) But stop saying he is worthless and no good because he failed 10, 20 or who cares how many drug tests while at LSU. He is clean now and yes 6/7 months is a long time for someone to be sober. Its funny because I bet the same people saying we dont want him here are perfectly happy with Akiem Hicks or loved Hargrove while he was here too. If I am not mistaken, didnt they both break the law as well? Stop being pompous assholes who act like you are perfect. Let the young man have his day and a chance to redeem himself and by all means shut the frick up.

Who said this. I'm more against doing something over and over that you know is wrong to the point that you throw your college career away, whether it be drugs or failing grades it doesn't matter. I'm not advocating against weed.

Dude was 19 years old on top of the world and had weed problem.

Hit rock bottom.

Has talent out of this world.

I'd much rather take a flyer on his talent even if maybe his success is short lived than fricking draft another Usama Young.

We should only draft choir boys that go to Church 5 times a week.

Altar boys make the best defenders.

If I got caught speeding 10 fricking times and my boss told me I was going to lose my job if I did it again, I assure you I wouldn't do it again. That's the problem with the guy. He doesn't learn his lesson. I'm not acting like weed is anything special or that doing it is the most horrible thing ever. It comes down to him not listening or learning from his mistakes. If any of you don't see that and see the red flags then I don't know what to tell you. I don't want to waste a 3rd round pick or anything close to that on someone like him when we need sure things on defense.

Hicks didn't break the law. He was caught in recruiting violations. Big difference. Was probably a lot more on LSU than on him. I don't really give a shite about Hargrove. He actually did clean himself up though. We will see if TM7 does.

No one is perfect, but continuing to do something when you know it is very detrimental to your professional career is stupid as frick.

I'm also not sold on this either. If he was fricking Peyton Manning coming out of college than I could see why people might want to take a risk on him. But the guy is 4 feet tall and will a lot of trouble because of it.

i think you're just kind of over looking the whole he was 19 years old, on top of the world, heisman candidate with a addiction problem that had very little help and wasn't mentally ready to change his ways yet.
