In 10 quarters by Derek Carr. All that money, and Winston gets the blame. He's nothing more than a middle of the road quarterback with possession receivers, and crappy top picks on the offensive line. Blame Loomis and Dennis Allen for this team. Absolutely NOBODY on offense, is explosive. Watch Miami and their offensive identity. Guys get into space, and they have speed. The Saints have a chance to win a lousy division by default.

Yup. He's also in over his head. Offense is as dull as it gets with no creativity. Thomas is making a ton of cash to run 5 yard slants. I'm curious to see what happened to Graham after his TD? Pulled a David Copperfield and disappeared after that.

Bruh Winston was hot garbage. When he took over, the offense went from maybe a chance to score to no chance. The reason they got back into the game was because all he kept doing was throwing stupid uncatchable balls and creating quick 3 and outs. Stop defending that idiot, there is a reason Tampa got rid of his arse and immediately won a Super Bowl with a capable QB.

We’ve played the same game 3 weeks in a row. The first 2 weeks we had Carr for the dagger shot—this week, we didn’t. Our offense sucks because our O-line sucks.

Watch Miami? If it was that easy then everybody should look like them. How did Miami look without Tua last season? Absolute trash.

Where in my OP did I defend Winston? If anyone is hot garbage, it's Carr. So far he's shown me absolutely nothing in 10 quarters of playing time. For the record, don't give me this "He's learning a new offense" BS. These guys are making millions and they are paid to learn quickly. The NFL is a QB driven league, and from what I've seen, the Saints don't have any.

Even Tom Brady took a couple of games in Tampa Bay before he looked like typical Tom Brady.

David Carr is no Tom Brady. It isn't just about "learning a new offense". I'm sure both of them knew the offense before Week 1. Operating an offense at actual game speed with people getting paid to rip your spin out every play is much different than sitting in a film room or doing passing skeletons while wearing a red helmet. Our offense looked really good(compared to the first two weeks) in the first half.

ETA: Peyton Manning went 2-3 the first 5 games with the Broncos including throwing 3 picks agains the Falcons.

It’s an odd rant to go after the guy who helped put up 17 points before the backup was shut out. There is a clear gap between Carr and all the other QB play we’ve had since Brees washed up.

You mean 10 points? Because Carr and the offense only scored 10 points.

This board was hilarious all offseason.

From the rumblings of signing Carr, to signing him, to the hype through camp, to everyone overreacting to his first preseason appearance. There was a small segment of us that kept telling everyone that Carr was nothing special, that he was absolutely abysmal last season, he doesn't elevate the play of the offense. The fanboys didn't want to hear that and focused on 4th quarter comebacks and the fact that he finished like 3rd in MVP voting 8 years ago.

And now here we are. Derek Carr leading a below average offense, not being able to carry the squad on a $150mm deal.

Told you so.

This is the most copium I've ever seen in a post.

Winston only gets the blame for not being able to get a first down in 4 drives. Y’all seriously need help if you thing Winston can be anything other than what he was yesterday. Guaranteed we win if Carr survives

The mighty Joe burrow has scored 2 TDs in 8 quarters. It's still early.

Drew Brees would be struggling behind this line, with no run game to speak of. Carr took a sack yesterday from the shotgun where the dude was on him before he made his first progression.

if our coaching staff shut down the offense with Carr, like they did with Jameis, what makes you think we'd have won?

Carr has been QB for 2.5 games at that point and our offense has been extremely shitty.

Anyone expecting Carr to be a worldbeater is mistaken.

He's not that guy.

Just a reminder he put up ZERO points against the saints at home last year.

He's not great. It is what it is.

And we were 2-0 and were winning by 17 when he went down. Carr has been moving the chains our issues were in the red zone. He’s made all the plays at the end of games too the big throws etc. Winston is terrible
