It’s probably the correct move, but it probably ain’t gonna happen. DA’s job is on the line.

Going off history Buckeye WR Jackson Smith Njigba should be available and will be the pick
If he is available at 29 I'd for sure take him.

Probably won't be there and they probably won't go WR first round. I actually would like it. Hyatt is more likely to be there around 29. I wonder if they would draft Drew Sanders or Henry To'o To'o.
Only like 11 picks between our 1st and 2nd too. That will be interesting.

My problem with Hooker is he may be a system QB. He wasn't very good at Virginia Tech and Heupel has always had good QB's to run his system that put up good numbers. When Hooker was out Milton stepped in and was solid. I just don't see him being a starting NFL QB.
Plus he's already 25.

Saints have had luck in the past with Tenn receivers.
Stallworth, Meachem, Callaway ...am I missing something or are you being sarcastic?

It would be but Miami’s 1st round pick was forfeited.

I had forgotten that, in fact he stunk it up at VT against bad comp.

I don't understand why the "system QB" thing keeps getting thrown out there. With the right offense and "system" he's clearly a great QB. You build the offense to the QB's strengths.
It's not like you could put Brock Purdy in any offense in the league and have the same results, and Hooker is more talented than Purdy.

Lol , we can get the next ''Made of Glass'' Davenport!

Make sure he is a raw, out of shape and chronically injured player too.

Not being sarcastic. I thought meacham and stallworth were solid players for us in their day.

This is the right answer. We are not getting a game changer at 29 no matter who we take.
The reality is our absolutely best (worst?) case scenario in 2023 is finish with a mediocre record again, maybe even win the division. Then get skullfricked in the playoffs by a better team.
It’s better to just full on suck, fire DA, and get a top 5 pick that CAN be a game changer with a better coach

No one. Trade that bullshite for a 24 first and a 3rd and roll out the tank.
Accumulate and push picks to the future. Belichick uses this strategy. The current coach and GM would screw up a wet dream.

The Smith-Ngiba hype train will be off the rails closer to Draft Day. Hasnt even left the station yet.

i doubt he will be there at 29, if he is, we can see 2024 offers to move up from texans, falcons, carolina, maybe even arizona.

Gaurd Peter Skoronski Northwestern 3Jr+ 77 6'4" 296 - - - 5.19 07.31.__ Expected to declare. Four-star from north side of Chicago. Got offers from all the academic OL schools (Notre Dame, Michigan, Stanford). Graded well in 2022 and similarly to 2021. Good pass protection grades. Inconsistent but solid in the run game.
05/18/22 ???

Rumors swirling he won’t measure or run well at the combine. Couple that with the hamstring and I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s at the end of the first in the few mocks I’ve seen so far
If he doesn’t participate in drills at the combine, it may tell the story that he’s going to try and rest on his 2021 campaign.
