Going off history Buckeye WR Jackson Smith Njigba should be available and will be the pick.

Draft Jalin Hyatt in the first and Hooker in the second. Downvote away.

Saints have had luck in the past with Tenn receivers.

Tanner McKee is actually a really good Qb. He played in an outdated Stanford offense and still put up very solid numbers with not much to throw to.

What about Hooker? Mocked in the 3rd but pre injury played at a high level against good competition.

Well trade that pick and next year's first rounder for some diamond in the rough that no one's ever heard of.

They'll trade it to move up to get the next Project Peat replacement.

My problem with Hooker is he may be a system QB. He wasn't very good at Virginia Tech and Heupel has always had good QB's to run his system that put up good numbers. When Hooker was out Milton stepped in and was solid. I just don't see him being a starting NFL QB.

None. You trade the pick for a future one because this is one of the worst all around drafts in years. It’s about stacking future assets and getting out of cap hell. Trading back this year for a 1st next year allows you to tank this season to get a high 1st as well as another 1st from trading out of 29 this year in a much deeper draft.

I'm not sure who will trade you a 2024 1st for our pick. It would have to be KC, SF, Cincinnati, etc... really good teams

It could be any team who sees a player they feel good about enough to want that 5th year option. That’s what the value in it is, not the actual spot where you pick.

People won't like this but this absolutely the correct move.
