If the saints don’t trade back and choose anything other than a pass rusher that is gonna be brutal. This is an epic pass rushing draft.

1. Carter
2. Williams
3. Graham
4. Jalon Walker
5. Scourton

These guys are all game wrecking pass rushers. They have to replace Young and Jordan. Drafting a rb or a wr right here would be the dumbest move they could make.

Like mentioned above a nt is probably the 2nd biggest if not first but you can find a nt later in the draft. Grant will most likely be gone by the 2nd, Walker may be available, Norman-Lott and Alfred collins can be had much later. Theres def depth there.

I agree that we need a RB (we need almost everything) but not in the first round. I’d like to go;

1st: DT, DE or WR
2nd: DT, DE or G
3rd: G, WR or RB

This is actually a good RB class. Some speedy RBs I’d be interested looking at in later rounds are Dylan Sampson, TreVeyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins, Brashard Smith, Ollie Gordon II and Trevor Etienne.

Am I the only one who thinks our biggest need is a stud pass rusher? We have a great RB(although getting up in age) in Kamara and Miller has shown flashes when healthy. Did anyone else watch opposing QBs sit and have all day to throw the ball? We have zero pass rush. Picking in the top ten, we should be able to get one of the top rushers. You build a team from the lines out..build out the offensive and defensive lines first. No secondary in the world can hold up if a QB has 6,7,8,9 seconds to throw every down. Plus, unless you have a shot at a Peyton Manning type can't miss QB, you don't want to put a rookie QB behind a shaky offensive line. Solidify your line and that can only help the development of a rookie QB.

Apparently, Mickey is a fraud GM that capitalized off Sean Payton and Drew Brees.

Abdul Carter is the elite pass rusher in this draft. He will probably be gone by the time we pick though.

There are some guys like Princely Umanmielen, James Pearce Jr., Landon Jackson and Nic Scourton that can be good pass rushers from the DE spot.

This is a good draft class for defensive lineman too. We need a DT too and there’s some good ones like Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Mike Nolan and Deandre Walker.

If we leave the draft with two of any of these guys I’ll be very happy.

This is a DEEP RB class! It makes no sense to spend a first round pick on a RB when you can get a really good elsewhere in the draft.
Just bc Jehnty is the only college RB name you know doesn’t make it a good idea for the Saints.

I agree. 99.9% of the time you never take a RB in the first round, and this ain’t the team to be in that .1%. If the DLine is dominant, it makes every level behind them better. We have to get dominant line play. There will also be a huge hole at CB. This draft class needs to almost completely defense. Demario is getting older but his play hasn’t slipped enough to replace him yet. Worry about LB next year. Dline and secondary are the glaring needs.

Almost every mock I have seen has Mason Graham going #5 to Jacksonville. The only one I didn’t see that had Will Johnson going #5 to Jacksonville and Mason Graham falling to the Saints.

In reality, you need two QBs, two OTs and Will Johnson to go before us to have a shot at Graham or McMillan. Let’s hope Johnson shows out at the combine!

Build the lines for the next couple of years. Then get your franchise QB.

Yeah no doubt. I definitely don’t want a first round running back but I wouldn’t mind spending a “premium” running back pick like a 3rd if a real talent was there.

I actually think the quickest way to us being a viable team is to adapt a physical identity until we actually get a franchise guy in the future. I’d like to build the lines and the running game. I really want a young runner with some actual juice though.

Other than that I wouldn't lock in to any specific position with the first pick. BPA

Agreed. Part of me wouldn’t mind going BPA for two or three picks within reason.
