Well the corner from Nebraska is just as good I would not mind trading back in the third to take the babtist

You act like that 3rdpick would've been a HoFer. We have no clue what that would be. What we do know is we could have a day one starter and great weapon for Brees now. And with your logic, why be upset. We have2 5ths and a 6th. Automatic studs right?

I just don't see the need to jump into the 1st round. WRs just don't tend to be good 1st round value unless they are can't miss future hall of famers like Calvin Johnson. It isn't a terrible pick. But, it is likely that we could've got a WR that will equal Cooks' career production later in the draft without having to give up a draft pick
You can't rely on lucky picks like that.

If anyone thought Colston would have been near as good he would have been long gone.

They asked the Saints scouts if they were surprised anyone was still left on day 3 last year and they said Stills(obviously the Saints knew what other teams didn't). We absolutely stole him in the 5th.

Graham was an extremely raw prospect which scared many teams. That's one of the boom or bust guys that worked in our favor.

You can flip the same argument around and say that the Saints are good talent evaluaters at the skill position (outside of RB).

But, but, but I thought Matthews was best WR in this draft!?!?

People bitching about Cooks is ridiculous.

You happy about our pick, buddy?
Hate losing a 3rd but I LOVE the player.

We weren't going to get anyone we wanted at 27.

And just like that my safety net pick in Verrett goes. We would have been fricked so bad if we didn't trade up.

Good. I was hoping we wouldn't pick Verrett.

Best 2nd round WR in the draft, and better than Lee. Cooks for sure, and maybe Beckham, will be better players.

Obviously the Saints, Packers and Eagles front offices disagree with you.

And if we are so great at picking guys late, why worry? We can just pull a great pick out of our arse in round four and two out of our arse picks in the fifth. Seriously, does everyone forget that guys like Toon, Johnny Patrick, Al Woods, Andy Alleman and Chip Vaughn were all mid round picks that weren't all world?

Exactly. Look who's left. Loomis does what loomis does best: loomis.

As Dennard? I don't agree. I know a DB not standing out in a game could be a good thing, but Dennard is just one of those guys that, when watching the two or three MSU games I've seen over the past few years, stood out as a fantastic player.

If we sat and didn't trade up, we probably would've traded back into high 2nd.

Without reaching, there is literally no one I would want left.

Thank god we traded up.

Does Lee go to the Eagles or keep falling?
