If we can sure up safety or get an decent DB in free agency that were sure make our first round draft pick a lot more interesting. I hope we go defense with our first pick or OL if we have a good defensive free agency. Peyton love defense in FA meaning theres a good chance he could draft a fancy offensive skill position like he's famous for with the 1st pick.

Love to have them, but not likely.

Way underrated IMO. Hope the Saints take a real look at him.

This guy is made out of glass. He's only played in 16 games in four seasons (his first four seasons). Played in 2, 12, 6, 1 and 15 games the subsequent seasons and always gets hurt when it counts the most. As far as saftey, I'd rather have Sean Jones, Jermain Phillips or one of the old guys (Dawkins, Harrison and Sharper).

WHAT YALL THINK . I SAY THE SAINTS NEED TO BRING IN 1 A GOOD CB OR SAFETY OR BOTH. AND TAKE THAT RAY ILB FROM USC ,IF WE NEED DL HELP AS FOR A DT WHY NOT BRING IN TANK JOHNSON .HE WILL BE CHEAP ,ALSO PACMAN IS A F UP BUT HIS PRICE TAG WILL BE CHEAP AND MAKE HIS CONTRACT MORE IN BONUSES THEN STR8 UP MONEY THEN
HE CAN GET BONUSES IF HE CAN COMPLETE A FULL SEASON ..

i say with the new dc we got . get a big man like tank johnson in the middle to help free up elis and the other 3 de,s we got . why wish for a big name guy knowing benson wont pay him to come here .then in the draft we can draft ray kid coming out of usc for a young olb to place on the side of vilma .then do whatever we can to get dawkins in here to sure up the safety spot ... its not going to help us if the saints cant get to the qb. teams got to know that we going to come after them and not play cover 2 or play soft . with a big inside man like tank in the line up with elis and will ,grant, mccray who will they double team then. plus think of this smith/or grant might be gone for 4 games if he dont win the court thing .tank will be cheap ,also give pacman a shot but with little money and just make it more of a bonus contract if he cant act right then cut him and little will hurt the cap room . then we need to do something to get dawkins in here . what do yall think ?

These are the players that I personally think would fit well into the Saints roster. The one's that are bolded I think the Saints should give a legitimate look.

Hopefully Williams will have some say into finally bulking up the D, which a tremendous start would be with guys like Nnamdi Asomugha, Shaun Cody, Julius Peppers and Terrell Suggs.

Brandon Jacobs would be a great Power Back to compliment Bush.

Salary cap issues are gonna force us to not look at most of your bolded list, unless some serious restructuring of contracts happens.

That would be some start. Hope we get them all with Ed Reed too.

I say we just sign everyone in bold, see how far they can take us next year, and then just cut 'em all after the fun experiment

you know, '97 Florida Marlins style

+1

Take Jacobs off your lists. It ain't gunna happen. I think Buckhalter would be a more legitimate look.

dawkins is the only old safety i would even consider bc his work ethic and what he brings to a team's overall attitude is well worth it..

The newly released Pacman would be a good fit in N.O. There are plenty of strip clubs down here to make it rain at
