I have no idea how someone could come to this conclusion

Y'all really hate Poole/ Trey/ Zion that much? We aren't doing shite without a starting center that's for sure.

Not better than us:
Utah
SAC
GSW
POR
PHX

Same level or better than:
SAS
DAL
LAC
MEM
LAL

Better than us:
OKC
HOU
DEN
MIN

Now its time for people to take any reason possible to make the Pels look bad in these groups while also ignoring every other thing that could make another team look bad and tell me why I'm wrong.

Y'all will legit look at this and say "ahh well AD will be healthy and Lebron wont fall off, and Ja won't shoot anyone, and LAC/ GSW won't continue to get older, and blah blah blah while straight up just assuming the very worst for your own team. Its weird.

There is absolutely zero logical reason to assume we will be better than the golden state warriors at basketball next year.

None

A rookie played significantly (and improved in the process) just this past year. There have several examples since Green has been here of him playing and developing rookies.

No reason to believe that we aren't better than a team of (3) almost 40 y/o with a depth of scrubs?

You do realize that Saddiq Bey could join their team and be their 4th best player right?

Only our team can have injuries right? No way for aging stars of other teams to get hurt or have bad seasons just the Pels.... And if we have a great season than certainly 14 other teams have to have fantastic season right?

Holy shite y'all are miserable.

We had the second worst +\- in the league last year

You keep beating this drum about injury luck but it isn’t some wild fluke that we had injuries, particularly to our best player.

Just penciling in that we as a 21-win team will surpass a team who was final 4 in the west last year is homerism at best.

Not saying it is impossible, but to just assume it - that’s crazy, man.

I mostly agree with this (I would put the Clippers as better than us and GSW in our boat)....if we assume Zion is in shape and healthy. I do not assume he will be in shape and healthy. But as long as he is on the roster I will root for him and hope he's in shape and healthy!!!

Believe it or not their are only (4) teams in the West that currently have a brighter future than us at the moment:
SAS
DAL
OKC
HOU

We have so many options and a lot to be excited for. Y'all would really rather be GSW or LAC with aging stars paying the tax knowing damn well you aren't winning a championship?

And if Kyrie leaves Dallas plus AD being injured then we are far ahead of DAL too even that's not set in stone.

Go look at our starting lineup to end last season. Any stat you pull from last season is completely irrelevant except the following:

We had only 1 player who averaged at least 20 minutes per game and played in at least 60 games- Missi.

CJ - 56 games
Jose - 56
Hawkins - 56
Trey - 53
Murray - 31
Zion - 30
Herb - 20
Ingram - 18

Sure, you can continue to assume our injured players will remain injured and that every other team will be at 100% all year, but that’s just not at all realistic.

When his hand was forced due to injuries. That’s about it.

Do I think the team will be last season bad? No, but the core of this team is not that good nor is the coaching.

People are expecting magical leaps from players because another guy had a leap like that.

Injuries have been an issue for this team every year. This is not by accident and nothing has changed there.

There is little to no leadership on the team and you are relying on Zion to mature, which he has not done for 6 years.

Even when healthy to start the season, this team was bad.

Herb Jones played 30 minutes per game in 78 games his rookie year.
Jose Alvarado played 15 minutes a game in 54 games his rookie year.
Trey Murphy played 14 minutes a game in 62 games his rookie year.
Dyson Daniels played 18 minutes a game in 59 games his rookie year.
Jordan Hawkins 17 minutes a game in 67 games his rookie year.
Missi played 27 minutes per game in 73 games his rookie year.

So….can you now please stop repeating your idiotic claim that Willie doesn’t play rookies?

Again, he plays them and Herb was a seasoned college player. Murphy got experience about half way through the season. Daniels didn’t develop offensively at all. Hawkins regressed and kept getting sent down and Missi played that much because of injuries.

Again, most of them outside of Herb and Jose got in because of injuries to other players. He’s still not shown an ability to develop a raw young player.

He’s also just not a good coach.
